the room was not very clean. I found someone else's nail on the bed, ugh. There were also problems with hot water (there was none) and Wi-Fi. The bathroom was also uncomfortable

Staff could be more helpful when guests are asking for advice (e.g. book bus, terminal location, etc). We had to wait 2pm (check in time) while we arrived at 1pm and the room was ready.

The bed duvet didn't have a cover and sheets were very stained. It's not as good value as other places we've stayed at in Java. We had a few WiFi issues.

The location is great, very close to the train station and lots of cheap eating options. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be.

Practical but not charming if you want to stay longer.

The location is perfect. We arrived during the night, very close to the train station. The bedroom is comfortable and clean.

Bad WIFI no good phone signal , so you are trapped between both no cleaning services no shampoo or soap as mentioned the hot water (for shower) is fluctuating price is higher compared to other (based on the services)

No toilet paper! There was no toilet paper in the room so I asked for some at reception, when I was told they do not provide toilet paper for the rooms! I was told they would ‘try’ and get me some but I never received any, and there was never anyone available at reception to ask again. I’ve travelled around asia for several months in budget hotels and have never been refused toilet paper! The room also smelt heavily of smoke which wasn’t very nice. The check in process was very slow - we arrived about 20 minutes before 2pm, but it seemed as if we had to wait until exactly 2pm to check in - by this time there were a number of people gathered waiting to check in, which made it very slow

There was no toilet roll, no soap provided in the bathroom. After Covid, this is really a non-negotiable.

It was close to the train station and easy to stay in after the night train.

Check in process was slow and after a long night’s journey with little sleep all you want is to get into your room. Only accepts cash, wasn’t a problem for us but could be for someone. We then got into our room, we had no toilet paper when requested some the receptionists didn’t have access to get us some, thankfully we carry our own. The bed sheets were filthy and had blood stain on them we ended up just sleeping in our sleeping bag. Also the room was a tad noisy. This place is in a great location for trains but there isn’t much going for it and needs a good deep clean.

Brilliant location, ideal as we got a late train from Yogyakarta, so didn’t get into Malang until 3:30am, so this place was great as just located outside the train station with 24hr check in.

We paid for the superior room .. was very basic, bed and bathroom, tv didn’t work, aircon was very dodgy, and no toilet roll ready for us in the bathroom.

Convenient location as we got of at malang train station at 3am and it was walking distance- the staff were very kind to let us check in at such hour to sleep.

Bed sheets had holes in them and were very dirty with loads of stains and even hairs. After complaining they changed all sheets with ones that were less dirty but still not great. Hotel isn't in the best shape anymore. Go for the more expensive rooms if you want to stay here or don't stay here. No WiFi connection in my room either.

The room could be bigger.

The hotel is centrally located, a stone's throw from the raliway's station. It is also very close both to the City Hall and Jodipan/Kampung villages. There is a great restaurant nearby. Hotel receptionists were helpful. We enjoyed the terrace!

The room is very outdated and did not feel clean. The pictures need to be updated as they were probably taken when the property first opened. Due to the express train from Yoyagkarta being cancelled, we did not arrive into Malang until 0300 in the morning and were not asked to pay on check-in. That morning, we had a knock at the door asking for payment and as one of us was in the shower still getting ready having only had a couple of hours sleep we said we would come over to reception once we had finished getting ready. 15 minutes later another knock at the door and this time saying that we must pay in 15 minutes time which we found both threatening and very frustrating. Extremely poor bedside manner and not how I expect to be treated as a guest. There was no toilet paper provided which in the pictures shows that there is toilet paper and is a bare essential in a stay. I would not recommend this stay based on our experience despite being fully aware we were booking somewhere basic for a couple of days; it did not meet expectations.

The location was just down the road from the train station.
