NetherlandsWe absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Everything was provided in the room including water, fan and drying rack. The surroundings are really stunning and peaceful. We slept so well here! The host is super friendly and helpful, she helped us organise a tour to Mount Bromo, which was also much cheaper than organising it from Malang.

FranceThe only little bad point is that there are a lot of holes into the outside in the bedroom and in the bathroom. So we saw a lot of spiders and insects, as the accommodation is in the nature.
The owner was very kind and interesting. The bedroom was good and the bed was comfortable. Big plus for the view on the mountain! 😍

ChinaThere is no AC in the room so during daytime it can be a big hot. In the evening the temperature is totally fine in the room. The room is in the farm so you need to take your luggage to walk for 200m, car cannot drive directly to the room. It was not bad and we were ok with it.
This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

With a motorbike you can go to close restaurants. They helping us organize our trip. We were so lucky that Aris was free and drive us to waterfalls and Volcano he is the best guide I’ve travelled with. 100% recommended

Very nice stay! We felt home. Nice view. Good bathroom, hot water. Great big bed. Coffee/tea available. All very clean. No breakfast available since Mary works, but actually she offers! Because she brought so much fresh fruit! And on Sunday she was free and offered breakfast!!! Just truly amazing. Also on the day of check-in she prepared for us since we had a long night travel. Speaks English! Her man is a guide. It’s very clean! Totally recommend for a trip to escape tourism and enjoy nature!

The host were awesome! They offered as breakfast and organized us a very cool trip to the bromo volcano. One afternoon we went on a small hike with the host. You can find our hike here: https://www.komoot.de/tour/1261560317?ref=itd There are plenty of other possible hikes but mostly hard to find. The room was very clean and the view amazing.

FranceBe prepared for a remote location : there is only one restaurant in the village. Without scooter or taxi, you have to be prepared to enjoy the beautiful view.
The 4 stars comfort (brand new queen size bed and perfect shower /toilet). The view on the mountain in front of the lodge. The "garden" (terrass cultures) along the river (10mn walk down the lodge). Last but not least, the kindness of our host.
