How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really nice place a bit putside from Kuta. The owner is really nice and the room is really good! If you need AC you have to book the room with AC! You need a scooter to move around!

Simple and peaceful Homestay outside of the main area of Kuta. Perfect value for your stay, for renting motorbike and for drop off to the airport. The family who manage the place is always kind and smily. Best warung in Town is 5 min waking from the Homestay. 100% recommended

We loved our time at Nanda Homestay, we ended us staying for 3 weeks and enjoyed all the awesome surf around. The place is quiet at the end of a village, the pancake breakfast was always great and our hosts were very kind

No A/C but I knew this before
The hosts were super friendly and helpful. They helped me with organizing last minute a shuttle to Bangsal and returning my scooter. The room was clean and spacious. For breakfast, I could choose between banana pancakes with honey or chocolate, coffee, or tea.

Good to know: No air conditioning!

The bad: My Telkomsel coverage was weak in the homestay, but there was a relatively good free wifi network (important if you travel and work and need internet). Cold shower (not a problem for me, but might be for others) Fan only, no AC (not a big problem).
The good: calm and silent area, away from Kuta. A very kind and helpful family. Large comfy mattress. Large room. Beautiful terrace to have breakfast or rest at the end of the day.

Very nice family, so friendly and helpful. The place is very calm, 5 min from the Kuta center. Perfect place to stay with couple or, and friends. All rooms with a terrace, fan and toilet. There is a kitchen to share also. Monkeys are all around :) 100% recomended!

It can get a little hot at night if you don't like to sleep with a fan. Otherwise it's all good.
The owners are very friendly, the place is clean and simple, very quiet at night and only 5 min away from town on a scooter which you can rent from them at a good price. Breakfast included which was very nice and unexpected, and all day coffee and tea. Great value for money. If you like to live simply this place is for you.

Considering the family is whole day at the property and it’s not that busy, it would be nice to have the room cleaned for long stays (+2 nights) and not face a dirty kitchen, where you hesitate to come in.
I think it’s a good value for the money, the family is very kind and ready to help you with wherever you need.

Had a great stay at Nanda. Lovely and very caring owners. The room and bathroom were super clean. Delicious banana pancake and tea/coffee for breakfast. Fridge and kitchen to use. Comfy bed. Quiet during day and night. The only thing is that my room was incredibly hot and leaving the door open during the night and the fan on didn't really help much. anyway for 6€ a night nothing to complain. just sth to keep in mind when you book. would definitely recoomend staying here.

Nope, it is nice with cheap price.
This family homestay is really nice and we choose to live here 4 more days. They are cheap and have private shower room and even pancakes for breakfast. You can borrow motor here to go around. Also make easy dinner in their kitchen. It feels great to sit outside our room arounded by trees. Love this family. And really recommend them.

Really nice lodge with your own terrace, close to the beach. Spacious double room with comfortable bed and pillow. Shower and toilet are in the room and tea and coffee are free. The owners are super chill and caring. I didn't pre book breakfast but was offered a free pancake. And when I couldn't find a scooter to rent the owner dropped me at my new hostel for free. I really recommend the place. It's also near other homestays and restaurants.

Great price for value, only 5 minutes from Kuta. Clean, big rooms with basic furniture. The family was very helpful and welcoming, we felt very comfortable here and even extended our stay. We had no ants problem or anything, so i can only recommend this place!

Cold shower but for the price it is completely all right.
We loved our stay at Nanda Homestay and we even extended. Owners are welcoming and super friendly. The room is big. Free tea/coffee in the room. Breakfast is simple but very good (banana pancakes). The Homestay is really close to the city (3 min with a scooter) so it is very quiet and we loved that, They have scooters to rent for a good price.

Breakfast was made freshly every morning and ☕, the host very helpful, they arrange the cab to the airport and give some other information. Very nice place
