How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The air conditioner didn't work. They offered to move us, but it was so late and we had to be up early and our stuff was all spread out. It was stuffy. Hard to sleep and pack, which was the point of being at the airport hotel

We stayed here due to a late flight home and glad we did. Literally right next to the international terminal, so was very convenient. Nicely, appointed modern rooms with everything you need. The premier lounge was nice with good food and complimentary drink. The rooftop bar was really nice, being able to see the planes arrive and depart was pretty cool, whilst being able to sip on a nice cocktail was way better than sitting around In the airport.

Aircon left on far too low. Not environmentally friendly and room like an ice box. Too many lights left on and takes ages to find all the switches to turn them off so you can go to sleep.
Convenient for late arrival at Bali airport.

The AC in the gym did nog work properly and was therefore almost to hot to do a workout. There is an quick way to the hotel from the airport but that was hard to find.
Good hotel If you want to be close to the airport. Breakfast buffet is really good and has a lot of options (also for vegeterian).

There are bits that can use some refurbishment
Just a stroll away from the airport which was great after a long flight and arrive late at night. Also great that the curtains were really blinder. Extensive breakfast buffet

The signage to get to the Novotel was not the most obvious and we ended up walking around the long way outside via the pathway between yeh two terminals. From the international terminal there is a confusing sign which leads you in two directions. Whilst both lead to the hotel- one is a more air conditioned and comfortable path. Perhaps the hotel can send directions before arrival. The bathroom was definitely showing signs of wear and tear. It looked like it definitely needed some love. The shower head in our room was falling apart, and there was mould in the corners of the shower.
We stayed on a transit overnight between International and domestic terminal at DPS airport. The hotel is perfect for that, with a gym, a pool (though closed overnight) and luggage storage. Hotel staff were really nice and let us sit in the lobby for hours while we waited for our flight.

Nothing. It was exactly what we needed and made arriving in Bali at 12am so much easier.
Its so close to the airport- you can walk from the terminal. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool and grounds were really pretty. The hotel is well designed and feels so much nicer than most transit hotels

No water bubblers to fill water bottles
Short walk from arrival terminals so a great choice if you arrive in the middle of the night. Absolutely amazing breakfast buffet! Nice clean rooms.

Food may not be the best but they have good options like any other airport hotels.
Very comfortable and easy access (walkable) from the airport. We reached very late in the night, so decided to stay at Novotel to avoid travelling to our main hotel in Bali. We had booked a big room (Suite) and it was really good for our family (2+2). Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a short stay at DPS airport.

Great airport hotel - easy to get to, especially if you're landing late after a flight. It was easy to just walk straight here at 10pm rather than going through the hassle of getting in a taxi. Lovely staff, great breakfast selection and spacious rooms.

It is a little bit pricey for what we're used to paying in Bali, but the convenience outweighs this for us.
The convenience of walking from the plane to your hotel is the best! We are always passing through Bali to go to other destinations, so having somewhere convenient to stay one night while waiting for connecting flights is ideal. The staff are all lovely, and the food and breakfast here is always delicious.

It was extremely difficult to get to the hotel if you are not coming from airport. We had plans to leave our rented motorbike for pick up at the hotel but had to leave it in the airport parking area as it was impossible to get to hotel as there was no signage. Taxi managed as he was finding closed roads and driving one way

The pillow was not flat enough. The carpet was not clean

Straight forward. Helpful staff. Though night of arrival, the guy on reception could not organise a taxi for the morning. The lady on reception in the morning was very helpful.
