about the fitness center to small not like my expectations and the second one about the swimming pool close to early 7 p.m and when the swimming time there is a function there that's way I can not do nothing cancel my pool time I don't want to bother that function thank yiu

There could have been a bit more attention to detail in terms of room cleaning. For example, a couple of the light switches felt a bit sticky upon check-in. I just cleaned them myself with an alcoholic wipe and they were fine. It was a minor issue that didn't detract from an enjoyable stay.

- Welcoming service culture - staff members always smiling and willing to help. - The hotel is well situated just off Malioboro St. Local attractions such as the Palace and Sonobudoyo Museum were within walking distance. It's also only about a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. - The breakfast buffet had a good selection of local and western food.

We were not too impressed by the international spread at breakfast. However the local food spread was delicious. On the whole our stay was great and we would stay again if ever we were in Yogjakarta.

The friendly and helpful staff. Ari at reception who checked us in early and gave us rooms on the same high floor was cheerful and helpful with our requests👍. Reza from the rooftop cafe was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Always smiling😁. The housekeeping staff was also good at service delivery.

- There were random ants everywhere. On the table, near the kitchen sink, in the cabinet. - There is cigarette smell whenever we come back to the room. I suspect the ventilation is not great within the hotel. After turning on the aircon, it becomes okay. - Bathroom floor might be a little slippery. - Spa is still under renovation. So they had to do massage in our rooms. There was a spa menu that they placed in the hotel lobby and we wanted to do body and facial massage. But the staff said there is no facial massage. In addition, they also didnt check how long we wanted to do our massage for during booking and we had wanted 90 mins (which is in the spa menu) but end up, the staff said only can do 60 mins. - For females, please avoid Room 506. The window faces this unknown corridor, and the window can be opened up from inside. I had to always check before I sleep and even then, I get worried that someone might enter through the window. - The lift card scan doesn't even work. Whether you scan your card or not, you are able to press any of the hotel floors. This means that anyone can access the hotel floors actually. - Hotel breakfast is not too great in taste but has a decent spread. We went around 9.30am and most food are gone and what's left is tough to chew. Tried going at 6.30am but the noodles are cold, though relatively nice.

- Location was right smack in maliaboro street with convenience stores, Mcdonald's and KFC nearby. The shops along the street that are not suited for my shopping though. - Staff are really friendly. - Room is generally clean. - Tip: Most drivers will turn into the hotel from Maliaboro street. It is a problem on weekends as there is always a jam. Instead, ask your driver to turn in from Mataram Street. Just tell the staff (if they are stationed at the T-junction between Perwakilan Street and Mataram Street) that you are going Novotel and they would let you through.

No issues here. The location, staff, size, and cleanliness are all superb. A minor issue with room service was adequately rectified by friendly staff. Location couldn't be better. Rooftop pool is great. Can recommend.

Beautiful room, everything is perfect, except the bathroom area with wastafel is too small. The Staffs are excellent. Food are delicious Close to malioboro but no direct connection. In general I am happy to stay in Novotel suites.
