Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThe hotel is located just in front of a mosque on a narrow street. So you are woken up by azan very early morning. I am totally ok with it, though. [
Breakfast is nice.

GermanyThe only thing you have to consider is the mosque which is nearby. You have to get used to the prayers, especially in the early morning.
Extremely nice and helpful staff. Good Indonesian breakfast. Clean room and perfect location for exploring the city. Close to bus stations and some restaurants and cafes in walking distance.

BelgiumThe 'gym' has no aircon and the treadmill doesn't work, but for that price its more than you can expect!
The hosts are super friendly, everything is arranged for (breakfast, even though very basic and non western), if you ask you even can lend a hair dryer. Haven't tried the pool but the gym is decent enough.

SpainThere was an annoying noise coming from the upper flor (like a generator or something), nothing to bad, and it might be dependant on where your room is located.
Very kind staff. Great value for money! The driver they recommended us to take us on a daily tour was also great! Just to keep in mind: Location is arround 10 minutes drive from the center (which wasn't a big issue); and also the hotel is literally across the street from a mosque (so be prepared to wake up early due to the call to praire)

United KingdomUnfortunately it’s VERY loud! The halls are extremely echo-y and you can hear people in their rooms even when you’re in your room. The community in the area are also always doing activities so getting woken up by loud music lessons early in the morning isn’t unusual. Also, always been absolutely not bothered about call to prayer but there were huge megaphones right outside which meant it’s was incredibly loud especially in the early hours of the morning.
very clean and beds are really comfortable. Bathrooms are small but do the job. Staff are so friendly and will do anything for you! we didn’t have breakfast but it looked like a really nice spread, we just didn’t get up in time.

SpainThe shower sometimes runs out of hot water, and on some mornings the prayers were very loud.
The location was very close to local restaurants, the breakfast was tasty and different every day, the bed was comfortable and the hotel offers private driver if needed.

IndonesiaThe toilet was very small. Regarding the location, you always have to take a Grab/Gojek to move around but they are very cheap and fast.
The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was good. The swimming pool area is small but cozy. Staff was great and really helpful (the packed our breakfast when we had to leave early, helped organize a tour and with laundry).

The property is located in a quiet street not far from the main road. The room was clean and there was cleaning service every day. There were a lot of options for breakfast and the staff is super friendly! For my friend’s birthday I asked the staff to help me buying a birthday cake and the did an amazing job! The cake with candles and a personal note made her day! Also, it was convenient to have a swimming pool as it can be very warm in Indonesia.

SpainThey have a mosque right in front of the hotel that you have to get used to. Because they start at 4am with the callings. In any case, after the second night you get used to it!
The hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful. The hotel was also very clean and they have a laundry service that smells incredible.

Very nice staff, they even made us breakfast to go for an early flight. The facilities were great, free water/coffee/tea, kitchen area (big fridge, cutlery, water boiler etc), nice working AC. Good breakfast. Good strategic location, a scooter is helpful to have.

SlovakiaReally bad wifi (they even changed the routers during our time here, but the problem seems to be in a different spot). Probably only relevant for non Indonesians, but: mattresses are pretty hard (slightly harder than the Asian hotel average afaik, very hard for European standards) and it's right next to a mosque (so the morning call to prayer will completely wake you up sometimes before 5AM).
Spacious and very clean rooms (they offer daily cleaning, and the towels and bedsheets smell amazing!), incredibly (!) friendly staff, solid breakfast. In short: it ticks all the basic requirements. And in addition to that there is a pool, two shared kitchens and free drinking water. The location is a bit out of the center, but in return you get lots of interesting coffee and co-working places, a bunch of small supermarkets and it's still an easy walk to the center. The downsides (bad wifi and hard mattresses) are good to know, but overall this hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations 🏆

IndonesiaThis place is as it is shown by the pictures on the website. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are small, but the room size is good. The twin room where are children were staying was bigger than the double room. It was great to have a kitchenette and free water refills. This is great to cut down on plastic bottles. There were convenience stores close to buy basic supplies and good coffee shops.
