Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PolandI am not very happy with the bathroom. Water in the shower was not warm. Bathroom was not well equipped and not very clean. It was ok for me for couple of days though.
Location was very good. Hospitality of the owner was very amazing - he was super helpful WiFi was decent good value for the money Free drinkable water, coffee etc very nice design of the guesthouse

Booked 2 room and we got the whole part of house for ourselves. The house owner was really a nice person. He helped us to get our laundry done in timely manner. He made sure his guests were comfortable. 10-15 mins walk to Malioboro Walk, a lot of food stalls can be found nearby. No lobby and the house works like an Asian house, feels like home.

SingaporeBathroom door is rotten n can't be locked, someone came in as i bath! No toilet roll or tissue provided. Small water tank cant accommodate all (7) guests n (2) owner usage. Need wait at least 2 hrs if u not the 1st that needs to use the bath or toilet. No basin to wash up, everything in 1 share bath with toilet that does not have basin and the floor is practically always wet. Electricity will trip whole house if u attempt to blow your hair. Frosted pane on the bedroom door (can see inside) I wonder why. Did not install net in the bedroom so mosquitoes n insects all can join u in the room as u sleep. It's a big orchestra of dogs n cats n music ( although owner plays very nice selection) n sometimes also with motorcycle, and early morning neighbors start chatting with owners as they walk past.
Owner son (I think) very helpful , write n understand English very well. That's about all that is good of the place

NetherlandsThe room we had doesn't have a window, the bathroom was not clean, the available water tasted like tap water, the place with the coffee/tea is just next to the bathroom and is very humid, there is no common place so people stay in the corridor until late and you can hear everything, saw 2 rats and a couple of cockroaches within the property (thankfully outside).
The host was super friendly, but that was about the only positive aspect of the stay.
