Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe small beach that the hotel looks onto isnt privately owned, it has become a ground for locals to wander up and down trying to sell you jewellery or dolphin boat trips. I felt like I could never relax properly as there was always someone selling us stuff. We retreated to the balcony one day to get away and that only made them shout up to us and stand in the water so they could see up to us. Its the biggest downfall of the hotel as it would make me not want to come back. Something needs to be done as it will definitely stop people from returning. People want to relax and not feel like they are at a market whilst on their sun bed. I was also incredibly saddened and let down by the dolphin tour. Would strong advise against it. I had been in Lovina 9 years ago and there was around 4 boats that went out to see the dolphins. This time I counted over 50. It was carnage. Any time a dolphin popped up, all boats switched their engines on and went chasing the dolphons right over where they came up for breath, forcing them away from the area. I found it really stressfull. One dolphin has blood coming from its fin. It definitely was not the enjoyable experienced offered many years ago. The tours need stopped or regulated and I feel so sad that I took part in such a horrific experience.
We had a room with sea and pool view. It was incredible. So cool to watch the men out fishing in the sea. The infinity pool is lovely. Thr staff were so accommodating and helpful. The hotel run a free shuttle to lovina centre which was also really handy as you cannot walk to it from hotel as there are no pavements.

AustraliaThe beach directly adjoining the hotel had a lot of rubbish. Pool towels were dirty and smelt like smoke - but staff happily replaced.
Service was great, pool was clean. Big comfortable family room. Food was good. Massage was great!

SingaporeThere were many ants in the bathroom sink area and there were ants on the bed too in our of our rooms (we booked 2 rooms). We checked with the hotel staff and they said it was because they did some treatment at the grass area the day before so all the ants are relocating from the groud to other areas of the hotel. They came to look at it quickly and changed one of ours rooms but the new room has ants too on the bed.
This is our second time at this hotel. They did a renovation since our last visit. It is nice and our favourite part of the hotel is the swimming pool which has amazing sunset. Our room is on the ground floor and it has a small garden with a gazebo facing the sea which is wonderful.

AustraliaThe resort is located on the main road and there is quite a lot of heavy vehicle traffic and noise all throughout but depending on your room location you can avoid this. The restaurant has a very basic menu and this can be improved. Would also suggest some more indoor activities like a games room for table tennis, pool or board games to keep guest entertained.
Loved this resort and the huge pool with beach front location! It's much bigger on the inside than you expect from the main entrance and road. The room was spacious, clean and had all the basic amenities with a very good air conditioner! The resort has mountain views and green fields on one side and the ocean on the other so its very pretty! The daily breakfast is nice and has variety. The free shuttle car service is a pleasant bonus!

SwedenSince there are no doors to the reception, lounge and restaurant areas respectively, AC is not an option for the hotel. But fans in the ceiling would have made all the difference. Now in Dec/Jan it was extremely hot in those areas. Wifi was working quite bad; intermittent availability The restaurant needs considerable improvements: When we wanted to order we were told that they didn't have any menues avaliable...! The serving of the main dish for five people was extremely slow and was spread out over 15 minutes. The beaches on each side of the hotel were covered with heavy amounts of litter. Would hav been easy to clean up.
Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Nice, clean and modern rooms with superb sea view. Pool and adjacent sun chairs are terrific. We appreciate the various artworks around the hotel - cool! Courtesy car that took us to city center and back was a great service!

IndonesiaLocal people in the back of hotel keep terorizing me to use his service of watching Dolphin. He chased me more than 5 times even he entered inside the hotel and chased me around restaurant near by hotel. The worse part is he swore at me with Local Bali language because I didnt use his service while he rode motor bike on the road and almost hit me while we are walking. Please do something to this guy, otherwise other guest would feel discomfortable to enjoy the hotel.

FranceAt the check in, they gave me a room with a view on the wall, although I asked for a view on the sea when I booked the place. I had to insist a couple of times to get what I paid for. The cleaning of the shower could have been better. Bad internet connection. Vegetarian food at the restaurant but no vegan food, so I had to eat outside (Buda Bakery) and there was no point for me to go to the breakfast, given the price I paid for it and what they would give to me. No fridge in the room.
View on the sea (but there is no beach and the sea is dirty). Modern room. Confortable bed.

AustraliaLong walk on the side of the road into the central ‘town’ area. The footpath didn’t reach as far as the hotel. The hotel did provide a shuttle service between 1pm and 9pm. We like to walk but the roadside walking didn’t feel safe.
Big, comfortable room with sea views. Staff were all lovely, most quite young and eager to help.

AustraliaThey could definitely do better on their cleanliness around the perimeter of the site. Since they reap the benefits of the sandy bay outside their building, at the very least they should invest more into keeping the bay free of plastic and rubbish. I don't rate Bali beaches for this reason. It's a sad global problem. Also the cigarette butts. Absolutely disgusting.
The amenities and pool facilities are awesome. The location is also great. Close to town and an easy pick up for dolphin watching.

GermanyBreakfast was quite limited, some fixed options, no extras, e.g. I asked for more toast, that never came. The restaurant offers good food, but waiting times were far too long (up to 1 hour, only few guests). The airport shuttle I booked at reception was extremely "local", but we made it quite on time, allow 4 hours.
"Right on the beach", the room was comfortable, quiet and offered full sea view. (Rooms to the street may be very noisy.)

AustraliaStaff although very friendly had minor communication issues mostly due to the language I suppose. They do not serve cocktails (sad, very sad lol) Some of the rooms don't have mini fridges but staff is happy to keep your goodies in their fridge. If you absolutely need one make sure you let them know before getting there There is a musty smell but it's really not anyone's fault , the hotel is facing the ocean so it's bound to have a unique scent that you quickly forget about as you enjoy your long deserved rest.
Great location. Beautiful and relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta, legion and seminyak. Definitely try out the dolphin watching. There is a free shuttle to the town. Rooms are kept clean with the staff cleaning everyday ( if you want some privacy be sure to let them know because they cleaned my room all the time despite not putting up the please clean my room sign on the door)

RussiaIt was a bit smelly in the room because of the humidity. Didn't like the modest breakfast on the menu at all. The tea/coffee cups were dirty. Ants in the bathroom.
The sea view is awesome, they offered us a dolphin excursion which was nice. The pool was OK. They also provide a shuttle to the centre but it's better to ask beforehand. Thanks for the wakeup call.

Germanybreakfast options are limited (a la carte) and not of high quality ... bathrooms were not very clean, neither well-maintained.... WiFi was a desaster in our rooms
I guess, one of the better hotels at this price level in Lovina. rooms were spacious, the pool well-maintained, great view towards the sea. direct pick-up for dolphin watching or snorkeling at the beach behind the hotel. the beach as such is dirty, but doesn´t belong to the hotel.
