We don't like bright light at bedtime, so we've put towels over the windows and bathroom door. Also, the nearby club can get really noisy late at night, but wearing earplugs and a sleep mask might help block out the noise and light.

We had a great time! The room was big, the shower had strong hot water, the pool was clean and sunny, the breakfast was yummy, and the location was perfect, right on the main street and easy to reach by scooter. Gabby and her team were awesome, they made us feel really comfy. We'll definitely come back!

Loved it here. It was so peaceful, which is remarkable given it’s central location off one of the main roads in Canggu. An idyllic little garden courtyard with pool that was cleaned every day - I spent a lot of time reading give going some work there. A large, clean, comfortable room with huge 4 poster bed and my own balcony big enough to do my yoga on. The staff were wonderful- made a tasty breakfast each morning and were just a kind and friendly presence. I would definitely go back.

Everything was perfect

The staff at the Papaya Guesthouse is amazing, every single one of them. Gaby was so kind and attentive, helping us to book tours/transportation and providing helpful information. Breakfast is lovely, the pool are is so beautiful and relaxing. There are many nice cafes and restaurants nearby, the area around is nice to walk around.

The weak toilet flush

Super kind stuff, very nice place to stay! They helping you in every situation. I recommend you the offer for the airport transfer. It’s cheaper than a random taxi und you don’t have to organize after long flights. And the driver can give you informations about the hostel, in case you came middle in the night and nobody is at the reception.

The showers were lucky to have hot water for thirty seconds, even after asking for it to be fixed. Seemed like it was an infrastructure problem because the staff were super helpful and tried to assist immediately. Breakfast was very limited options especially if gluten free.

Everything was great

Very nice staff, friendly and welcoming. They prepare great breakfast every morning. The owner is also very friendly, she also suggested us some warungas and trips around Bali and arrange us a driver. The property is near main street, just a quick walk to all the bars, restaurants and beach. Rooms are clean, the whole property has really nice ambient.

This is a very nice and small place. Gaby, the owner, only rents 8 rooms, what makes this place very special. She is very helpful and always happy to give recommendations for your Bali holiday. The room was very nice and the bed very comfy. Would definitely recommend this place.

Behind the building there is some sort of machine (waterpump?) that makes quite an annoying repetitive noise. So don’t forget to bring earplugs.

Nothing, everything was perfect. Just bare in mind that the traffic around Canggu main roads is quite bad, it didn’t affect our stay (as I said, the rooms were so quiet, it didn’t feel like you were near a road), but just remember to leave lots of time if you need to get to the airport etc.

Everything!! So clean, lovely rooms, wonderful staff and owner. Perfect location just off the main road, but still so quiet. Lovely pool, with space around it to relax. Such a good breakfast made by the staff, we particularly enjoyed the banana pancakes and homemade jam. They also let you use utensils from the kitchen if you want to bring in food from local warungs/cafes etc, which is a lovely touch, plus help yourself tea, coffee and drinking water. Oh, also the wifi works really well!!!

I loved everything about my stay at Papaya! The location, space and staff were beautiful, like being welcomed into a family. As a female solo traveller, I felt very safe and taken care of. There are many restos in the area, and close to most of the attractions. Breakfast was simple and made to order every morning, the room was cosy and bright, and the staff were so kind and friendly. And a special shoutout to Gabi, the owner, who went out of her way to be a lovely host. If I'm back at Canngu, I'll definitely stay here again!
