Pintu biru hostel is a great place to stay in Wamena. The owners are amazing and has a small coffee rostery so you can enjoy quality coffe when you stay where. The owners have very good contact for professional and not overpriced guides in Wamena and Dani tribes. They also have a scooter to rent if you need it. The owner even took me with his car to the airport after my stay. Loved this place and I could definitely recommend it if you are looking for affordable and clean place to stay in Wamena.

Very good, clean and well situated hostel. Owners are super friendly and speak good english. Rooms and the rest are clean, beds comfortable. Washing mashine is helpful to use after long treking in the mountains. The owners are indonesian couple. We have wath the movie at the evening and in another we had a nice talk about local culture and places worth to see. If I will be there again then for sure will stay in the same hostel!

    Cannot think of anything

Sonja and her husband went far beyond what was expected helping us with everything from visiting villages, calling a medical clinic, breakfast at very early hours as well as driving us to restaurants and the airport. The communication went smoothly as they both speak very good English. The expirence would have been different if we had not stayed with them. Thank you for everything 🙏

Everything was at least good but mostly very good

Comfortable and clean hostel in the heart of Waimina. The couple that run the hostel are both very friendly, helpful and informative. The bathrooms are shared but they were very dignified in that they had enclosed toilet/ shower units. The complimentary breakfast was a good start to the day- both healthy and filling. Nice roof terrace and balcony to chill out on. Would definitely recommend a stay here for independent travellers

    Nothing

    - The best accommodation in Wamena and Sonya - the host will always try her best to make your stay even more enjoyable. She gave me lots of tips how to visit Baliem Valley, recommended reliable guides... She's pleasant person to talk to and whom one can have a good conversation with. - free "airport transfer": If dont have too much luggage, her housekeeper can bring you to the airport with his motorbike. I would recommend other travellers to stay at Pintu Biru cause there's no better hostel in town.

It's not about hostel, the signal in Wamena is basically weak. It's same in hostel as well. If you have something to do by using the internet, I recommend you to finish it in other place beforehand.

Friendly staffs will make you feel like you have another family in Wamena. They are so friendly. If you want to ask for the information about the trekking, the sightseeing spots, place to eat, anything else about the trip, they will listen to you carefully and look up the best way together. There are hot shower, breakfast, beverage and so on, they will drive you to some places as well. Please ask how much will those be to the staff. When I stayed, there was a laundry machine which you can use it for free as well.

    It was all perfect.

The owners, Sonia and Niki, make you feel at home. In their cozy hostel you have all you need and you can relax from the busy town. It was very nice to return here after our Baliem Valley trekking. Don't look further, just come to Pintu Biru.

Private room is overpriced, dorms are a better option

The owners were not at the hostel due to family circumstances. The man that perceive speaks not one word English. Our private room was very small and overpriced € 31 The breakfast *is only indonesian( this is a general problem in Indonesia), with many guests out of non Asian countries it would be better when there is one " western" alternative; bread with egg or so. I  like Indonesian food very much but not as breakfast in the (early) morning! The streetnoise in the private room and the balcony is overwhelming but thats outside the hostel influence.

Our room was clean The washroom was clean The kitchen was Ok, but became a little bit grubby There is a central place with some indonesian travelguides etc There are 3 dorms with each with 4 beds . One dorm (Kurulu) has no window, there is no daylight at alI. I think that the dorms (with window) are a much better deal. They are not directly situated on the street
