A nice room design. Large swimming pool, so many vegetation makes the hotel feels like colder in hot and humid Magelang. there is also a private carnival for kids. located just a couples km from Borobudur, Punthuk Setumbu can be reached within 6 minutes driving.

Great location. Excellent hospitality by the staff. The buffet breakfast spread was quite lavish and had a variety of choices. The staff at both the restaurants were very helpful. They even created a customised vegetarian dish for one of our family member. The walk thru the Rice fields and neighbouring village was superb.

The Plataran Borobudur is perfect the way it is. If we have a suggestion, it is nothing more than that: We felt breakfast was not 100% up to the standard of the rest of the hotel, not in terms of quality or quantity, those were great. But the atmosphere is very busy, with not much space and people walking around your table to get to the buffet all the time. Putting the foodstalls literally around the tables makes it impossible to find a quiet table, even outside. We were very happy when the - again most helpful and professional - staff brought us a table from the pool, so we could sit in the pool are. Again: High standard of solving a tiny problem. :-)

This Hotel is pure perfection. From check in to check out it was a wonderful experience, and we do not believe it can get any better than this. Staff is highly competent, the rooms and the whole building are just stunningly beautiful, and if you want to see more, explore the outside... there is so much to see. We especially liked the afternoon tea, where you could sit at the rooftop bar and completely unwind. But we also enjoyed the food and drinks in the restaurant, the view from our balcony, the spa and gym...We already dream of coming back here one day!

Beautiful room and furniture. The bed is large and comfortable, the bathroom clean. Fresh fruits and small bites provided in the room with a personalized message. The pool is good, tea time was appreciated near the pool. We also had a massage at the hôtel spa, which was great. The setting is beautiful and proximity to Borobudur center was appreciated. Daily free shuttle to the temple is provided. Hôtel restaurants were really good, for a meal or a drink. All the staff is top-notch.

The repetitive food in the restaurants over the 3 nights we were there. The food was good on the 1st day but it gets mundane and boring if there are insufficient varieties.

We love the surroundings and the friendly staff. Very luxurious and spacious room. Good lighting in the room. The free tea time and afternoon activity weaving baskets were a nice touch.

-4 times power outage -the AC temperature seems error/not stable causing heat issue when we sleep every nite -Need to improve the taste of foods (esp. kupat tahu not good, bubur ketan hitam not good, variety of prasmanan menu shud be improved--lack of veggies menus)

- The floor is not carpeted and though beautifully tiled, the noise of luggages, carts and even people walking in the hallway can be noisily heard, - The food is a mix of hit and miss. Ayam hutan kota (signature dish) is not apetizing but the daun pepaya with teri is good. The iga kecombrang is just so so and overall all food are pricey for the quality - Buffet can be better. For 250k++, there should be more options and/or better quality

- The service is uber excellent. All staffs are very responsive to your needs and friendly, - Hotel design is art déco and full of interesting details with view to serene paddy field, - If you are staying for the Borobudur Marathon, they provide free shuttle vv - The masseurs at the spa know their stuffs. Recommended experience - Minibar is inclusive of the room charge and refillable

Not many that they can improve as everything already good....probably just a tiny warning that we always need to close our balcony door as there is some small insects from the nearby garden/field coming in, which expected when we stay close to nature
