Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRooms from 2-5 have no private balcony and if your neighbours decide to stay out speaking and being loud it can be very annoying (which happened to us on the last night and we had to go out and asked to be quiet, but they ignored us).
The place was very cosy and the room was enough for three days. The bed was really comfortable and as it was not located in the main street , there were no noises from outside. I have to mention that the shower was not very clean and the shower head needs a replacement, but not a big deal. Swimming pool very well maintained and clean. The breakfast was really nice and the banana pancakes were amazing. The personal was really nice and kind.

We spent there two weeks. Really nice staff that helped us with any request we had. The property is located really close to the center. We had a big room and the bed was comfortable. Good place to stay.

Philippinesthe air-condition is not that strong to cool the place, but they have a huge ceiling fan as added ventilation. bed mattress is too soft for me but can still put you to sleep :)
the location is manageable to walk from Ubud Palace and market area. there are nearby restaurants as well for a quick meal if tired to walk around. pool is nice as well. and with free breakfast which is very helpful to start the day :) I actually prefer staying in homestay when in Ubud to get the Balinese culture feel.

United KingdomNot as put together as the pictures, starting to look a little rundown especially the pool area, but still clean. Air conditioning didn’t work for the whole 4 days I was there no compensation and I had to ask several times for a fan as the rooms was so hot and I was travelling with my 4 year old son. Kept being told someone was coming in the next few hours every time I asked, would rather have been told the truth that no one was coming and compensated somehow. Also my room was left unlocked after cleaning one day
Good location just off the main road. Walked through a lovely temple to get to it. Lovely grounds, big rooms comfy bed and nice view from the upper rooms.

AustraliaNothing - all was good! Would stay again for sure
We loved this place because the staff were friendly, it’s close to the main attractions and there’s a stellar guide/driver/new friend that we met through the guest house. If you need an airport shuttle ask for Putu. He’s knowledgeable, kind and humble which truly made our experience so much better. I’d stay here just for that alone. Breakfast is good albeit a little smaller than some other places, but for the price it’s absolutely a good deal! The room was clean and I added a bday package, which was a nice surprise for my friend. The pool is clean and little smaller than the pictures make it look, but that’s also no reason not to stay. It’s quiet and beds are comfy. Wifi works well, so overall recommend. Lots of amazing food around. We recommend Merlin’s for sure for a special night, the water temple, rice fiends and Kanto lampo are musts. We’d recommend staying 3 nights or more depending on what you’re looking for. 2 was a bit rushed especially if you want to do Mount batur and traffic can be hectic. It takes at least 1.5 hours from the airport with good traffic - can take up to 3 hours during busy time, which is when we arrived. Sanur was about 1 hour driving with some traffic.

PolandIn fact, it was a very pleasant stay and I might go back there another time. What I noticed is that the cleanliness and cleaning is not at the highest level - the floor was very sticky and this despite the daily cleaning of the room (maybe the floor was not washed with water and only vacuumed?) and there were stains on the bedding. The room is already a bit worn but this in no way interferes with the stay. At the pool there are only a few sunbeds and the rooms are a dozen - there is not enough space for everyone. Hotel accepts only cash payments. All this did not bother us too much and in general I recommend this hotel because the price/quality ratio is fair.
Very spacious room with a view of the countryside (applies to the room on the top floor), large bathroom with a separate wc area and separate shower, nice garden and pool, hotel in the center but a bit out of the way, hosts helpful, friendly, friendly, practically everything can be arranged (scooter, laundry, excursion) with the help of the reception, the ability to buy basic drinks on site and drinking water unlimited to refill. Air conditioning was very efficient, you could tightly shade the windows and sleep longer, no annoying noises from the neighborhood. On the last morning, the staff seems to have forgotten the breakfast ordered for us but they mobilized in no time when we checked out and prepared take-away sets which was very nice and tasty

United KingdomThe air conditioner didn’t work well at all and when it was on it dripped. The staff did try to help but I think the whole system needed replacing. The bathroom was also very damp and unventilated

New ZealandThere wasn’t a small fridge in these rooms and that would have been amazing for keeping water cold.
We stayed in one of their standard rooms with a/con. It was clean and tidy. The place is quiet despite being near a main/busy road. The pool was great, it was a cooler pool, most pools in Bali feel like a hot bath.

LatviaThere were no chairs in our room, which made it a bit more complicated to work. The towel hanger was broken completely, so we couldn't use it. The pool itself could have been a bit cleaner. And the location is not good if you don't have a bike.
Nice area by the pool with enough sunbeds for all guests. The breakfast was simple, but tasty. We also were able to rent a scooter right there. Also, there is a huuuge , non-touristic supermarket with good prices right behind the corner.
