We cannot rate this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived down the grand concrete stairs and across the beautiful bridge over the river into reception, Ayu and her family have been the most welcoming and wonderful hosts we have had on our 6month journey around South East Asia so far. It felt like visiting family, and we spent every evening having lovely long talks with Ayu after the most wonderful home cooked Indonesian food in their restaurant. Ayu's husband is a brilliant cook. The hotel is perfectly positioned next to the holy hot springs but there's no real need to visit and pay the entrance fee as you have your own free and private hot spring bath at the hotel. The accommodation is nestled into the green jungle hillside, and in the evening the only things you hear are the crickets and the flow of the spring water, which is truly relaxing. Ayu arranged for her husband to take us to visit the beautiful buddhist monastery (which is also walkable but it was a particularly warm day) at a very reasonable price, but they can also rent you scooters. You can book a lovely peaceful massage right in the grounds of the hotel as well. Nothing was too much trouble, and Ayu also kindly provided us with a kettle for the room. This hotel is just brimming with rustic charm. It is not a 5 star resort, but instead it has the most wonderful character and we didn't want to leave! Terima kasih banyak to Ayu and family 🙏 we hope to return one day!

Sulphur stains on bathtub due to local hot springs - though not appealing to look at, the water pressure and temperature are perfect and the place is clean!! There are lots of stairs, so do expect this if you do come here... I was a bit concerned when I saw this on my arrival, but it turned out to be quite manageable with only a few slightly-higher stairs and most being easier steps.

This is the first time I have stayed in, (or even visited), Singaraja and I have to share that this is truly a beautiful part of Bali. This particular property is very close to a large Buddhist Temple and once-Monastary - which was the real attraction in terms of location for me, and it's very close to a large hot-springs location that I didn't get a chance to enjoy but I heard from others, is excellent (literally a short walk from this property but I did not have enough time to visit). The owners at this property and their son were super-kind and accommodating for my particular needs too - I won't go into the details (food-related for me), but I can say that if you have any particular need/request, these owners are extremely helpful in helping you meet your needs. The Mom drove me to the Buddhist Monastary, the son picked me up, and the father drove me to see the dolphins on an excursion I wanted to enjoy on my last day of staying here. After which, he drove me back to my Homestay in Ubud too. What a wonderful team and family to interact with! The location of this property is nestled within what I'd say is a well-maintained jungle... and beautiful nature sounds greeted my waking hours on each day of my stay. I tell friends that I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland here, as there are so many little Nature details to take in and it was a wonderful place to enjoy my daily meditations too. Thank-you Ayu and Agus for a beautiful stay with you at Pondok Wisata Grya Sari!! I loved every minute!

We loved the fact that it was family run and old style Balinese resort. It was in a valley with a river running through it, lots of vegetation, very calm and soothing. Very close to a hot springs facility.

    Zero complaints.

The authentic hospitality, perfect location and scenic setting couldn't be better. It was my favourite place that I've stayed in Bali so far!

A few little things are a bit outdated. But that's nothing for the love, vibe and surroundings this place has to offer.

The location is amazing, the most friendly staff with their continious beautiful smiles. It's clean. The internet is amazing, I had a zoom meeting in sign language for more then an hour and that went so smooth. This place is an ideal spot for digital nomads. A short stroll to the Holy Hot Shootings. Oh and their food is great too.

Nice quiet place in the forest. Tasty food, good prices. They transported us to Ubud (with stop at Bedugun temple) for reasonable price.

We learnt that the plalce was developed by the father of the current owners in the 90's. And I would say they haven't done anything with it since. The bed was old; the bathroom was terrible ( the shower head came off as soon as you turned on the water!) and the lunch we had was unbelievable (the weirdest BLT I ever saw)

The situation of the place is idyllic but the published score does not correspond with the hotel. For the price it's what you pay for is what you get.

The bathroom was large but run down. Cold shower only. Higher up rooms were a steep walk. Limited free car parks. Bit expensive for what you get.

The setting was great with the river flowing at the bottom of the property and green outlooks. Room was large and clean and comfortable with extra single bed. Good mozzie net. Staff were great. Food was good. Good sized fridge in room. The massage service was first rate and reasonable (100k / hr). Right next to Springs car par park. Had the look and feel of Bali accomodation years ago but with A/C and fridge and western toilet!

The bathroom was rather rusty and old, no shower head but it’s okay for one night. Bed was cracking a lot and really uncomfortable.

Lovely staff, the surroundings are beautiful, in the heart of the jungle.
