Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

So many things to mention, stunning garden and space, very quiet location with reserved local authentic. Walking distance (ideally with scooter) to jungles, plantations, beautiful rice fields, Jatiluwih…Food in the hotel also very tasty with organic and vegan options.

United KingdomWe were disappointed that at a reasonably high price in indonesian terms there were no little niceties in the bedroom (only liquid soap - no other toiletries, tissues etc.) and no tea and coffee making facilities. On our first night they didn't have one of the starters we requested and didn't have any wine at all despite it being on the menu. There is only WiFi in the reception/dining area so if you' need the internet you have to stay there.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the mountain water swimming pool is cold but glorious and huge. The reception/dining area was a pleasant space. If you just want to chill, this is an extremely relaxing spot. Our semi-detached bungalow bedroom was a good size but the soundproofing was poor so if going again we would book a detached (but even more expensive!) bungalow.

Beautiful villas with outdoor shower, comfortable bed with net and completely surrounded by nature. The staff were lovely, it was a great retreat while we could also explore the local temples and jungle. Lots of food options too, very yummy.

United KingdomWe loved it so this is being picky but maybe some lights next to the bed for evening reading. And possibly a few more pillows for hanging around
We loved the setting and the staff and the swimmingpool and everything so beautiful. We enjoyed the food and flexibility. We also did a brilliant hike to the second largest temple with a very knowledgable and lovely guide.

This is a little piece of mountain heaven - set in the middle of rice paddies, with beautifully carved wooden structures, sculpture .. and a dawn swim in the pool was an incredibly memorable moment.

SwitzerlandIt's one of the dream places to recommend. Away from the crowded places in Bali. In the middle of rice fields. Hearing the frogs and other animals in the night. Very peaceful and greatly maintained resort.

NetherlandsThe rooms are open, day and night. This is not written anywhere, but between the walls and the rooftop there is a good 30cm space totally open that can’t be closed. During the day bees and wasps. During the night the temperature drops quite a lot and all the cold air comes inside. Plus crickets, frogs, geckos, spiders and more. We were constantly woken up at night by some animal getting in the room. We found it very weird that this was not mentioned anywhere, if we would have know we would have never booked this place. The service was very poor. The guy at the reception barely speaks any English. When we arrived not a smile, not a question, not a welcome. We immediately were requested to fill in a form and given the keys of the room without showing where it was. We had to ask about the pool or any other facility. WiFi is not existing in the rooms: in the description there is written that every room has WiFi but it's not true. It's not like the signal is low. The WiFi is only in the restaurant and that's it.
The place is beautiful, a lot of green and nature. The houses have a nice wooden structure (although they are OPEN on the sides) and the pool is nice and refreshing.
