How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a musky smell in the room. The rooms are quite dated and well worn and bathroom set up is not practical at all.
Great location across the road from the beach and easy walking to all the good restaurants and bars.

Don’t arrive at the property early to check in as I will not allow you to check in before 2 o’clock

The room had a very musty smell to it. It didn't smell clean. The rooms are looking a bit tired for the price we are paying.
We were only visiting this time around for 4 days so we didn't really stay in hotel much but the staff were full of smiles as we came and went. The cleaners were there everyday doing a good job and the gardeners are always attending the grounds to make it look inviting. Love the location to go places and love being by the water.

Only mentioning so things can be improved: A cold towel on arrival would have been nice. Very disappointing that the hydro pool was not working and the spa lacked the luxury feel. Would like to see spa products for sale in the spa. The toilet glass door in the bathroom was very dirty and no attempt to be cleaned The sheer curtains in the room were stained and not matching Not enough hangers in the wardrobe The wooden floors in the rooms are very scratched and worn There could have been a little more atmosphere around the rooftop pool and it should be child free Chill out rooms are very uninviting and cold Wine glasses and milk could be a standard in the room.
The view from tower 3 level 5 was incredible. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was very good The music was nice For a large hotel that suffered during Covid I understand there will be areas needing some attention. Overall a gorgeous hotel.

Infinity rooftop pool area lacked character and limited seating and shade areas. Service at check in slow.
Breakfast was awesome, lots of selection. What you would expect from large hotel buffet. Good location, close to bars, restaurants and shopping. Grounds of the hotel pretty and well maintained.

Beautiful resort it is close to everything, we could walk to restaurants and the beach. Lovely surroundings when you get back to the resort you feel very relaxed. The staff were amazing.

Street noise came straight into the room like a door was open (but it wasn't). Had a very 'ordinary' experience for dinner where we were forgotten about despite a number of times reminding them we were there. There were areas of obvious disrepair and places where the 'finish' of works was less than complete.
Staff were very friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable, loved the infinity pool.

Rooms and bathrooms starting to look a little dated. The lift nearest the room was under maintenance and not serviceable, therefore stairs only could be used. Nearest lift was a fair distance away.

Located directly at the beach with walking distance to restaurants and bars. The breakfast offer was incredible - everyone will find something! The infinity pool is amazing though you need to be quick as there are not many sun beds

I didn’t like the moisture in the room, we left our air conditioner on 21c which was below the 22c as recommended, I also do realise that moisture in the room is something we have experienced at other hotels, The Double Six Hotel doesn’t seem to have this problem and we left our aircon on 21.5c the whole time we were there and didn’t get the moisture build up in our room and clothing.
I really liked both the pools I really liked the menu options
