Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMay I suggest some glasses be in the room.
We are 2 friends in the autumn of our life. We went on the jungle trek and stayed overnight. Our guide, Kinol was so helpful and went at our pace. Are, his outsider carried the food. We stopped at 11 for delicious fruit. For lunch we had chicken, fried rice, tomato and cucumber. The camp on the river was well set out. Dinner was different curries.. Delicious! We saw orangutans including a big male. Different species of monkey and other interesting Forest creatures. Kinol had good eyes. We returned by a raft of big tyres joined together.. Very exciting..

GermanyNothing, just be aware that for the upper bungalow you will need to climb some stairs.
I had the upper bungalow and the view was amazing. Tia and Pandi are super friendly and organized everything for me.

CanadaThe monkeys stole my pineapple 🤣🤣 Not really a dislike, just an FYI- be mindful the monkeys will come visit your balcony everyday - and they can smell food within minutes - just don’t leave food out 🤣🤣
Absolutely stunning! I loved it here! I stayed in Bukit Lawang for 3 months - and every day I was so grateful I picked the best place to stay (and I’m picky 🤣) The view is gorgeous, right at the edge of the jungle so you feel like you’re own private jungle bungalow over looking the river - very private, best location in BL to still be close to restaurants etc The best swimming spot is right out front The cafe is super cute and charming and at the edge of the river - gorgeous view and great fresh local food The family is amazing, very kind and helpful.. well known and respected in the village The bungalows are simple but beautifully and well built, solid & clean but still feel like they belong in the jungle Can’t say enough good things, I highly recommend 🤩🙏

GermanyNothing to dislike for me.
Location: Amazing scenery on the river right next to the jungle. You find total peace here while having everything you need in walking distance. Rooms: Beautiful, new wooden villas with a lovely and authentic design - incredible views from the terrace included. Also very comfy mattresses. Restaurant: A cosy, roofed terrace overlooking the river. Enjoy a delicious selection of local food while soaking up the peaceful riverviews. Make sure you try the Chicken Rendang and the Banana Chocolate Springrolls. Sooooo good! What else? What makes beautiful place even more special is Tia and her team. Tia is the soul of Rambai Tree and is such a caring and warmhearted person who will do everything possible to have a memorable stay. She was always available whenever i needed something and it was always great to have a chat with her. Tia also organized a jungle tour for me, which was an incredible experience. It was great that I did Not have to take care of anything. You can even tell her what you expect from your guide- if you would like to have a fun and entertaining guide who makes sure you won’t get bored or someone calm to just get Professional i nformation about the jungle and enjoy the peace of nature. A big thank you and I hope I can come back to this magical place someday 🌴

AustraliaWatch out for the self-locking door.
It had a most beautiful location by the river and right next to the forest. Super comfortable beds for weary travellers after a jungle trek! We were happy to see monkeys and an orangutan pass thru as part of their daily routine. Tia and her team are so friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Tia helped us arrange an incredible day trip to Batu Katak (best day) plus a really memorable and special jungle trek. Tia even took us to a local Warung so that we could eat local food. She also took us on a walk thru the local market and to see her home.

BelgiumWe loved our hostess Tia and the other people who work at Rambai Tree Jungle Lodges, they we're all so helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed to be a little more secluded as the lodge is up between the trees, but still in walking distance of everything you need. The accommodation also had a good restaurant!
