Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDoing renovations, which i was not told about. So, there was no lift to upper floors. The 'buffet' breakfast was not good, only 3 bain Marie's with rice, veg n very spicy chicken. Ended up ordering an omelette, and it was so full of raw garlic we couldn't eat them, paid for breakfast, for 13 days, but ended up a cross the road at Coffee Corner every morning.
3rd time staying here. Room was pretty clean, first room we had to move from though as there was a foul sewage smell in the bathroom, got upgraded and that room was lovely. Location is amazing, close to restaurants, markets etc Reception staff, security and housekeepers were very friendly.

Indonesiathe price for deluxe balcony room i think it's a little bit pricey. And lift to small. Only for 2 persons.
Good location, near beach, shopping and easy to find restaurant. The bed comfy. But this area is always traffic.

AustraliaThe hotel is very tired and in need of some TLC. The room wasn't as clean as I would have liked, there were receipts on the floor from the last guest. The floors were dirty. The top duvet sheets had stains on them. The shower had a cockroach in it. The front of the hotel has little to no street appeal. The photos aren't an accurate representation of the current state of the hotel. But at $17 AUD per night, and considering the hotel would have likely been closed for the better part of 2 years, I wasn't expecting much.
The price was great if you're looking for a one night stay, or somewhere very cheap and not planning to spend any time there. The location was good, surrounded by markets and some cafes etc, then only a short walk to the beach. The staff seemed very friendly.

AustraliaI have stayed here a few times before, mainly for price and location, and never had an issue, i requested the same room on level 3 (top floor) and with breakfast included as i normaly do, and was approved my request by email when i booked it 5 months ago, but since my booking, they are now renovating the hotel. So when i arrive and check in, im not givin my room i asked for, when asked why, i was told because of renovating, they are only using the 1st floor of rooms, (not 2nd and 3rd) so the lift is also not working, so just to get up and down the 1st floor was 12 steps. then i asked because you are renovating, where will breakfast be? and was 1st told "you dont have breakfast included" then when she double check, she said oh you book room with breakfast included before we shut resturant down!! she says i will call my manager and ask, they were nice enough to say let us know what u want each morning for breakfast and we will bring it to your room, (they did each morning) i then asked if i can have a room upgrade because of the renovating and not getting the room i was told i would get, she again called and spoke with manager, and gave me a room with a balcony over looking the pool, Well then i go through to find my room, and sure enough im overlooking the pool, but she also didnt tell me that the pool is also out of action, and is very very green, (cant even see the bottom) then with 1 hour of being in room, 2 big cockroaches run over the bed and pillow. each morning we had to run the shower for at least 8 minutes before water would get hot. the guys that were renovating were using hammer drills until 10pm every night!! (i even got some video of it at 10pm) My last room had a safe in it with a nice big bathroom, this upgraded room had no safe, and a tiny bathroom. from the look of this hotel on the outside and inside, they should not have people staying there at all while renovating. they have totaly lost me!!
staff were friendly

AustraliaWOW, where should I start... I stayed at this hotel many years ago, it was quite a good hotel but this stay was a nightmare. When I arrived they gave me my key to my room I went up there and there was already somebody in that room I walked in on them I was so embarrassed, this should never happen in a hotel. They gave me a key to another room this room was absolutely filthy, the lights and the aircon worked but everything else did not work, I could not charge my phone as there was no power to the outlet, the TV didn't work, even the telephones that you can call reception didn't work. The next morning they gave me another room this room was slightly better, the whole phone system throughout the hotel did not work, the reception could call your room, but you could not call reception, and there was no hot water throughout the entire hotel. One night around 3am I could not sleep so I when for a walk to the convenience store, and there was nobody at reception the staff was sleeping, even the security guard was sleeping and he was snoring quite loudly, so you would think that the security guard would be well-rested sleeping all night, but when you ask them to do their job by stopping traffic when my driver was trying to reverse out of the driveway it was like asking for blood. This hotel was absolutely terrible, stay at this hotel at your own risk, I would have been more comfortable sleeping at Kerobokan Prison instead of this hotel.
There was only 1 staff member that was great and her name was Lily, All the other staff was lazy, hardly anyone was at the front counter.
