We absolutely loved our stay at Rumah Dharma. Beautiful location between the rice fields, and on walking (or cycling) distance from Borobudur. The staff were all amazing, spoke good English and went above and beyond to accommodate us! The room was really comfortable as well.

We loved everything about our stay.

Our stay at Rumah Dharma exceeded all our expectations. The property was beautiful and set among the rice paddies which made for stunning views, you could even see Borobodur Temple on a clear day. The room was big and had everything we needed and we had free use of bicycles to explore. The food was delicious, we had the set menu both nights which didn’t disappoint. But most importantly, the staff at the hotel were incredible. They were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - they helped organise laundry and massages. We didn’t get everyone’s names to thank you individually on here but wanted to call out Joko who gave us lots of advice and drove us to Prambanan. We hope to visit again in the future!

A very unique location , rice fields on both sides. Not much traffic, the roads were ideal for cycling. A friendly staff, clean pool. Their breakfast and dinner were excellent. Would definitely recommend to stay a few extra days just to relax.

Wonderful little hotel nestled among picturesque rice paddy fields in the heart of Central Java, moments away by moped or automobile from Borobudur temple and town. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, and made sure my check-in experience and stay was as pleasant as possible. I decided to have dinner at the property during my stay, and was treated to a number of local delicacies – brekkie the following morning was also excellent. Wholly recommended and I would stay again when I (hopefully) venture back to this beautiful part of the world someday!

If we need to do money exchange it is very far so please exchange your money before itself as local people take their local money only.

The countryside was so good we sisters enjoyed every moment. Difficult to get veg food but they made it specially for us and we really enjoyed the stay and food. Since we were in the midst of the rice field we enjoyed every moment. . Overall a very good stay. Borubudur is very closeby.

Our favourite stop of our trip. We booked this hotel last minute and ended up extending our stay. The rooms are beautiful, we were given a room facing out towards the rice fields, watching the sunrise here was beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Indonesian snacks! Bikes on property are free of charge so you can explore the town! We were very sad to leave!

Great place to stay amongst the rice pads frields. Pool was great to cool off. Rooms comfy and clean. Staff were amazing. Location was great, quieter away from town, but quick walk into town and easy 20 min walk to borobudur. We also used the free bikes.

The atmosphere was amazing, and the hotel and the surroundings are just breathtaking. You can use their bikes to make a short trip around the area, it's absolutely worth it. The personel is just fantastic, as well as the breakfast.

Everything was perfect!!

Free bikes to use, beautiful to bike around the area. Breakfast was amazing, loved how they added a portion of traditional snacks to it, made my day ! Dinner at the restaurant was amazing, several delicious traditional dishes (and a lot of food) that change every evening. An oasis of peace, a lovely pool and exceptionnal staff! What more do you need?

Daily multiple call for pray in loud speaker is annoying. And the sheet has an obvious stain.

This unique Hotel is located right by rice field with very beautiful views. The free breakfast includes selections of authentic Indonesian dishes and western breakfast options, the dinner with authentic Indonesian cuisine is very delicious. Meals are served in the courtyard under a pavilion next to the pool. The entire setting provides a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they speak English well enough.

Peaceful, clean, 7 tastefully and beautifully setup rooms set among a lush and meticulously kept garden. It sits in the middle of a beautiful paddy fields, surrounded by traditional village houses but only 10mins walk to Borobudur. A glimpse of Borobudur temple to the front and Merapi at the back. Try to get villa 5, it’s the best room in my opinion.

I think it was slightly overpriced considering I stayed 3 nights and no discount given. The rooms are spacious and newish in Javanese style however more could be done with the lighting and smoothing down some of the floorboards - overall, not deal breakers.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and the food was good. The location is very relaxing on rice fields at the edge of town and just 15m walk to Borobudur entrance gate. Staff really tried their best to cater for their guests. The pool also in the afternoon was lovely. I highly recommend this hotel.
