Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaShower drainage was a little blocked but was fixed by hosts once notified. Really no big deal. Really there was nothing else. We’ll definitely stay there again!
Breakfast were amazing. Cooked at our villa by hosts and his assistants each morning. The pool and grounds were very well maintained and beautifully presented. Very private fenced grounds. Having two completely seperate living areas with a kitchen at the front of the villa was perfect for be our adult daughter who was travelling with us. Having two seperate bathroom/ toilets was fantastic. The host Yana was extremely friendly and was happy to be our driver for the day as well. Taking us to the hot springs. This made it so easy for us, rather than searching for a driver that we didn’t know. Great daily driver rates as well. Just ask Yana if you need a private driver to get around.

United States***Some Improvements They Can Make:*** □ The water filter or water dispenser does not look visually clean on the outside or inside. But this is only a minor inconvenience since there are many places to get water. □ The Kitchen doesn't have a spatula *(I like to flip my eggs when cooking)* but this is not a problem really. I'm just being annoying. □ The electricity and/or water pressure for the shower would sometimes turn off due to construction around the neighborhood or some plants clogging the drainage drom outside.
***Rumah Karda Review:*** □ LOVE the architectural design! The open concept where everything is visible and can be seen makes it feel so "homey" □ The pool is deep enough to fully submerge if you are under 6ft, so you can have fun swimming from 1 end to the other. It's not as small as the photos might make it look! □ The kitchen already comes with clean plates, spoons, forks, and basic utencils for cooking. Some Villa's dont come with this, especially near the city like Kuta, Seminyak, Cangu, etc. □ The Villa owner and workers immediately responded to any concerns, questions, or comments through WhatsApp. Communication with them was timely. If you have a question or need something, Yana or Mahendra will respond to you right away. Communication is 10/10 □ Extremely convenient location because it was directly across the laundry shop and less than 1 minute walk to one of the best Warungs/restaurants we've had. □ Very good vibes! This Villa feels more like a home and not like a hotel. Very comfortable atmosphere and overall vibes. The place is also very clean.

The villa is lovely for a family with two young kids. The pool set up was nice and relaxing. Yana was an excellent and friendly host, brought us around as we signed up to package. Very flexible with our needs, stopping by supermarkets, stopped by ATM, etc. Lovely tour guide.

IndiaProperty needs little bit of rennovation and more cleanliness in kitchen. Kitchen needs to be better equipped in terms of basic requirements like salt which was missing and had to remind the service provider twice.
The property aesthetics were amazing , the services were average as the owner (Yana) was not around. You have to walk 300-400 mtrs to reach the property but they provide pick up which was very efficient. Overall an amazing experience with friendly people all around you. But Yana was very responsive and polite

United StatesThe little things. Shower didn’t drain well, main lightbulb in bathroom was out, the pool had no lightning or circulation. The owner lives somewhere else and has a local person manage it. So communication is not always great. For example, we did not know that it was a 10 minute walk from any road to get to the house. Or that we would be picked up on scooters and delivered to the house upon arrival. This was fine for our family, but if you are older or not comfortable on a scooter, this is important information. Breakfast was cooked on sight and we told the property manager that we would like it by 8:00 am. He came at 8:30 and somehow took 90 minutes to make very mediocre French toast and banana pancakes. Killed our morning plans. Just skip their breakfast and go to Mesari Warang for 30k IDR and eat like a king.
Beautifully stunning property. The pictures actually don’t do it justice. Full kitchen but you won’t need it because the best restaurant in Ubud is a 2 minute walk away (Mesari Warung). Great air con.

SingaporeThere are high and low steps connecting the kitchen and the bedrooms which can be hazardous if missed a step especially when light is dim.
Breakfast not many choices and it's prepared on the spot so you have to give allowance of additional hour for preparation before its being served to you. However the location of the villa is good and there're restaurants or cafes and minimarts within walking distance. Also, it's not far from ubud city central.

United StatesWe had an air conditioner issue but Yana sent someone over immediately to fix the problem.
The property was very comfortable. The kids had there own room with a bathroom and we had our own space. There was a private pool that my guys loved. The grounds were kept very nice. Yana was so helpful with setting up tours, booking massages, restaurant suggestions etc. He even brought us traditional Indonesian breakfast one morning. It was great! We booked a couple tour with him and on our last day we booked a tour. He brought us to the places we wanted to visit, held our luggage for the day then dropped us off at the airport. It was great and super convenient!

United KingdomThe villa is located in a quieter area of Ubud, with local shops and restaurants easily accessible. It is only a 20 minute walk to the centre of Ubud and taxis are easily accessed. The villa was faultless as was the service by Yana and Mahendra. As the villa is not accessible by car, I would recommend calling Yana upon arrival so that a member of the team can help with luggage. Yana was a fantastic guide and we had the best tour of some of Bali's 'must see' attractions.

Rumah Karda was pure bliss! Stunning private property, with thoughtful touches throughout. Such luxury. And Yana and his staff are exceptionally kind, helpful and eager to ensure your stay is perfect. Also, Penestanan is such a cool little community. I must go back again soon. It really stole my heart.

Beautifully planted garden surrounds a lovely pool- a home away from home. Large bedrooms with aircon and huge bathrooms. All very clean too. It also has a kitchen but the nearby restaurants are so good and cheap - why would you? Breakfast is included- they even deliver if you want!

Singaporethere were many insects but it was inevitable as it is a villa situated near the rice fields, and the villa itself had many landscaping which probably attracted insects and frogs.
