We loved the classic colonial style finishes. The ambience was quiet and private . Staff were friendly , the buffet breakfast was excellent . We are coming back in 2 weeks again !

Just a suggestion: would be nice to update some dated facilities such as providing usb ports instead of only power plugs, and combining separate hot and cold water taps. The table where water bottles were placed also had many ants. While the resort was linked to the black beach, we realised there was no security — which meant anyone could just walk into the resort premises.

A very nice, relaxing stay! We coincided with the low season and had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves! Service was excellent! We would like to particularly commend our host Ari from the restaurant— superb service, good (self taught!) English, going the extra mile to ensure we had enough to eat for our takeout breakfast (we had to checkout early cos of early flight). Proximity to the black beach was also a plus! Many local eateries in the beach area.

It needs a bit of an upgrade. Curtains were dirty and the rooms had been touched up but needs redecorating.

Some small flies seem to be living in the bathroom area. Some die overnight in the sink. Otherwise, everything was good. There was nothing much nearby, but we were here for a wedding reception.

Room was very nice with a lot of space. We got a free upgrade due to our air conditioning not working. The view with the pool and the ocean is great. The facilities work well.

It is a very spacious and beautiful place! We stayed there for a night and really enjoyed it! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Big and comfortable beds!! Very nice food and service in the restaurant. will definitely be coming back!

The location is far from everywhere. At the time we arrived bikes were sold out, no money change around, very few restaurants. In the room could hear traffic voice.

My friend ate at the restaurant one evening, had the laksa and got food poisoning. I requested to hire a motorbike and the hotel quoted a day cost that was nearly twice what I have organised and paid through other hotels. They were negotiable, which was good.

Beautiful building, gorgeous large room with quality fittings. Staff were lovely and helpful. View to the beach is spectacular.

It is not disliking but observing and recommending. Needs an immediate upgrade on the pool deck as the present condition is not suitable for the kids attending the pool. Rest can wait...

The monotomous piped music… Like being in a departmental store lift without reprieve. silence would have been golden. some of the fittings are tired and need upgrading.

This is a stunning resort that didn’t make the most of its appeal. The staff are fantastic and extremely gracious and helpful. The architecture is beautiful.

The central air conditioning is probably old and thus problematic. This however is not related to many halls and conference rooms that are open and accessible any time. It was noisy and inefficient at least in the bigger guest rooms we tried, obviously required repair or replacement. In the gym: virtually none of the equipment was in working order. In spite of the access to a beautiful black sand beach, we were warned not to swim, as it may be dangerous. Only for surfers. The surrounding area is not really touristically developed, so overally this hotel looks more suited for those singles or couples who want to be left alone for some time to relax, or concentrate on some creative activity, such as writing, painting, sex, programming etc.

The hotel itself is an architectural marvel in colonial style, one of a kind for Bali, the swimming pool is very long, probably about 50m. Great ocean view. Excellent and supportive staff. .

Be prepared that although it is only a 7 year old building that salt water has rusted anything with metal fixtures and that some paintwork is already peeling. It looks like a thirty year old build.

The grand architecture of this magnificent and expansive colonial inspired 5 Star hotel is rare to see in Bali. The infinity pool overlooks the island of Nusa Penida and there is a natural spring lake below the pool. Enjoy dining outside or inside at the restaurant that views the beachfront. Dinner was very reasonably priced and many options. Alcohol as always in Bali is similar priced to Australia and wine is always at a higher premium. The staff offer excellent service and there is a genuine love of the hotel they work at.

the hotel is very beautiful, over looking the sea. the beach with very fine black sand. Prabanggana Deluxe room is facing padi field, with partial sea view. Sun rise around 5.50am in Nov. Pool with very nice view looking the sea. Staff are friendly and welcome drink is nice. Aircon is very cold in room, bed is comfortable. water pressure is good.
