They probably need to update their aircon units. Mine stopped working and they had to bring the mechanic out multiple times to fix it.

The rooms have a bit of a smell when you walk inside and the bathroom also. The water at the sink is running really badly and the pipes are in very bad condition. But everything else is OK.

The two guys working there are really nice and willing to help you. It is convenient as you can rent scooters at the property and also get shuttle ride to the airport. The breakfast is nice and the coffee tasteful!

Nice breakfast (very good eggs!) Lovely staff, very helpful and always around if you need them. Good location 5 mins walk from Kuta main street. Cheap laundry service opposite. Simple room.

I came during high season, Kuta was fully booked. So I overpaid for this place. Value for money was poor. It is run down, needs paint, renovation and deep clean. No furniture in the room. Don’t expect too much.

Convenient, basic little place. Breakfast is nice. Wifi is strong. Quiet place.

The property could offer water bottle refills (free or at a small cost) to minimise single use plastic. The staff weren't always available as they were coming and going, but you never had to wait too long. Both power points in the room were on one side of the bed.

A chill little place that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not. The room was clean and spacious. Plenty of storage. Linen and towels provided. The breakfast was options of eggs, pancake etc plus coffee. The pool was clean and warm. Best part was the location - it's an easy 7 min walk to centre of town.

The pool is really nice, but the pool matracess (without pool beds as in the pictures) were not inviting.

There were small stains on the bedding. We also had small centipedes (not the big ones!) in our bathroom every day, but we think it's a common thing in kuta since you'll meet them everywhere. It was not a big problem at all.

Staff was always available, helpful and very friendly. They cleaned our room nearly every day and even made breakfast for us a little earlier when we wanted to go on daytrips early in the morning. The swimming pool was cleaned every day, they emptied the bins and gave us new toilet paper for free. Hot water was always available. We had enough space for our luggage, there were good possibilities for storage. Scooter renting was cheap and easy. The staff was really easy going when we fell one time, it was no problem. Santai homestay is located close to the main street of kuta with many cafes and restaurants, but still more quiet. In summary, we had a great stay at Santai on a budget. Terima kasih guys!

A really spacious room in a good location close to a wellness centre. Fabulous breakfast - just what you need! Good storage for clothes. Very nice mood lighting. Super friendly and helpful staff. You an rent a moped from them any time!
