The bungalows do not have great ventilation, so it is very stuffy inside, even with the fan on. The mosquito net was old and is the type that hangs from one point only, leaving less space on the bed for two people. Combined with the heat and humidity, it makes sleeping uncomfortable. This is not the hosts' fault, but there are plenty of mosquitos.

Wonderful hosts. Very clean room. They were very attentive, making sure we had what we needed. They helped us with ferry pick-up and scooter rental.

The ferry time changed and so I missed my opportunity for the dolphin and snorkeling trip which comes with great reputation. Not Santi gardens fault, just things changed on other side of the island

Fantastic location, great bungalow, clean, spacious, lovely balcony, close to water, easy access to village, staff brilliant, Santi friendly and helpful, restaurant next door. Scooter and snorkeling hire easy. Transfer from ferry with Irfan was easy, friendly and quick. Little John in Banda Aceh knows everyone and was brilliant at getting me around to and from the ferry and sights. All know each other and really help you out.

There's nothing specific to Santi Garden that I didn't like, but it's worth mentioning the issue of litter around the island generally. I know it's easier said than done, but if guesthouse owners, locals and tourists could work together to tackle the problem, it would make this place truly paradise.

This place is run with real love and care, which makes it truly special. Santi really goes above and beyond for her guests. Special mention also to Robi for the warm welcome and for generally being super helpful and friendly. The garden is beautiful and clearly a labour of love. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with all the essentials. It's lovely to lie in your hammock on the balcony and listen to the sounds of nature - you really feel like you're in the jungle, which you pretty much are. There's superb snorkelling just a few steps away from the bungalows, with a huge variety of fish. It gets even more impressive if you head over to Rubia Island just opposite - it's easy to get boat rides across. All in all, this is just a perfect place to stay as far as I'm concerned. I'm planning to be back again soon, for longer next time!

Fantastic stay. Santi was so welcoming and kind. The room was perfect,a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was like brand new. A short walk to the sea and Rubiah Tirta scuba diving which is also highly recommended. There is also a restaurant near by with an amazing view and cheap food. Thank you Santi for an amazing experience!

Our 9 days stay in Santi Garden bungalows was absolutely amazing The bungalow had enough space for the 3 of us, the veranda with the hammock was perfect to relax and admire the views to the sea and Rubiah island. The feeling of staying in the jungle listening the birds and watching the monkeys was a unique experience. The location was perfect just 5 minutes walk to the village of Ipoh, and Olala restaurant. next to the hotel had nice reasonable priced food and marvelous views Santi was really helpful answering all our questions before our arrival and giving us helpful information during our stay Robi was also always around to help and arrange everything we needed We will always remember these kind people who made our stay to the beautiful island of Palaw Weh the best experience we had in our 2 months trip in Malaysia and Indonesia We'll soon come back!!!

Santi and her brother Robi were very welcoming and warm people. They made us feel home. Even after check-out Robi helped me out with the motorbike, making sure that I get to my new place. The garden was very well maintained. We got soap, toiletpaper, fresh towels and free drinking water. Beautiful place in Iboih! Thank you

Their go to becak driver was pushy trying to get my phone number and sell me trips. He was also on his phone a lot during the driver to/from the port.

Lovely people, Inda, Robi and of course Santi, were so friendly and helpful. Room was nice and the location great - away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area.

The only bad thing I can say is that we were sad to leave this place! We loved every minute of our stay!

Peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Far away enough from the main village to be quieter and still in walking distance of Iboih Beach (you can go swimming and snorkeling!). It was also close to the nearby village of shops, cafes and restaurants (Dee Dee’s was our favourite lunch spot and Olala is a must-do for Tempe). There's only a few bungalows. Your bungalow also has a balcony to swing in your hammock. There was tables and chairs on your front porch as well. The Bungalows are very private. The bungalows are decorated in boho style with natural colours and materials and a mosquito net over the bed which was also useful at night as mosquitoes were about. It truly is an Oasis to stay at when you aren't exploring the many surrounding spots on Pulau Weh. Special mention must be made of the helpfulness and friendliness of Santi. We have lacked nothing and if we had any questions, we were helped immediately. We have booked a scooter for a couple of days, as well as the transfer to the ferry terminal through the accommodation and everything worked out perfectly and without any issues. If we ever come back, we would definitely stay here again. Recommendation 10/10.

Only downside is cold water showers and no aircon - but the price and Sumatra this is normal and still good value for money.

Cute bungalows in the jungle, very close to the pier to swim & snorkel! Good restaurant next door and short walks to town where there’s more restaurants and small shops. Staff were so lovely - so welcoming, helpful to arrange transport. Room includes unlimited drinking water, towels, soup etc. Rooms were comfortable and clean, nice hammock to relax. Ibioh is the perfect place in Pulua Weh to relax and snorkel. We extended our stay here after coming from Sabang (which wasn’t as nice).

Mosquitos will get into the cabin through a gap in the building design. This was fine while sleeping with the mosquito net, but not very fun sitting on the toilet in the morning

The location was easy to walk into the village and very private

Looks rundown when once-it-had-been-superb. I wish they'd done proper maintenance.

The natural rainforest setting of the bungalows. The chef cooked the fish I caught and she's an excellent chef.

The location is away from the main area and is very relaxing and tranquil. It's a short stroll to restaurants and you can swim/snorkel off the pier at Ohlala or go to a small beach outside Dee Dees. Robi helped us organise pick up/drop off to the ferry, scooter rental and late check out :)

I recommend it if you come here to snorkel or dive. It’s clean and nice. Manager Robi is kind. Robi will give you an answer if you call a taxi or such as renting a motorbike or you want a diving shop recommendation.
