Showers could be a bit Cleaner, but were okey.

Very friendly staff. Nice, clean private room. Dorm was also very nice and clean. Beds were soft, slept good. The hostel owner feels like a friend you can rely on. Listens to what you want and giving good advice on what you need. Very cheap because of the low season. More than worth the money!

The hostel was peaceful and spacious. The AC keeps the room cool. The bed was comfortable and a curtain was available for privacy. Sockets, a mini shelf, and a mini lamp were installed right next to the bed. The staff and owner were very accommodating and helpful. They will try their best to help you with information you might need to go around the area.

We had a great stay at Sleepy Raccoon Hostel, the host truly was a super host and helped us out with renting a motorcycle, laundry, restaurant recommendations and anything else we could have wanted. The location wasn’t too far from the main attractions and was easy to access by motorcycle, and the property was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend.

I solo-travelled during off season and the place did not have a lot of people just for a couple of them. However, Mr. Mak and his cats made me feel like I was back home. He was very helpful with renting me a bike/ some tips on where to souvenir shopping/ places to visit etc. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and very well maintained. The shared room has a TV which has access to OTT platform. Your stay will feel like you’re back home. :)

The host is super nice and accommodating and literally helped me with everything from the booking the tour to helping me figure out visa extension At Borobudur (although apparently you can only extend once but still he was super helpful in the process). The place is a quick bike ride away to the backpacker street with restaurants. I had a private room and it was clean. The hangout area was very nice. There is also a kitchen and water available to refill your bottle.

This was definitely one of the best hostels I visited in Indonesia. The host, Muk, is very nice and always helped me out. The other staff, even though they don't speak English, also seemed very likeable. The facilities, compared to other places I visited, were definitely good and mostly clean. There is really nothing bad that stands out to me. Great hostel. Can only recommemd

Simply one of the best hostels I have been. Very friendly and helpful people who work here. Special thanks to Mok, who was very helpful and always made me feel at home, even when I dropped a big glass bottle of limonade 10 minutes for my departure🥲🤣. Thank you very much, will not forget this place.

Not so much in the city centre so it's much quieter, I had my best sleeps here. Convenient location, less than 10mins by motorbike to city centre. Very spacious and clean house. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Also many common spaces to chill and hangout with the rest. Great value for money

I cannot express the praise of this amazing hostel in words! From the comfortable rooms to the peaceful location all the way to the amazing owner who deserves a Nobel prize for the joint he is running in Yogyakarta/Jogja here. Mukhatar ( the owner) is perhaps the kindest & most generous person I have met, he instantly makes you feel like part of his family as soon as you step foot on the premise 💞 Not only this but he will go out of his way to ensure your needs are met he will help with everything like; assisting with tour bookings, scooter rentals, laundry & assisting with translations, booking rides to get around town even provides information for places in & around Java such as: recommendations for local hotspots for events, sunrises/sunsets, hikes, cheap food & stores, you name it this man will put in 110% effort to ensure your enjoying your time here. The facilities here are top notch too, from clean bathrooms, a large open living room with a huge TV with its own Netflix account & PS4 to an open easy to use kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, plates, cups, cutlery, utensils, the works! 🍽️ If you're looking for somewhere to spend your time in Yogyakarta this hostel should be on your list, if you're lucky you might even run into the local polylinguist "Mr Saturday" a happy, sweet fella that will always put a smile on your face (if your timing is right you may even score a chance to taste his mouthwatering home cook-ups) or Mohammed the legend of the local nightlife who can fill you in on the the local bars & clubs around town also guaranteed to put a smile on your face both legends in their own right 👊 & often poke their heads into the hostel to say hello!
