We loved everything about our stay at Snooze Ijen! The help through Whatsapp before our arrival to organize a driver frot the trainstation, to the warm welcome from the night guard, the cosy hostel design, all the plants, the clean facilities. The staff is exeptionally friendly and helpful. Would always choose Snooze if I ever visit Banyuwangi again!

Very nice and cute place. Staff very very friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed there mainly to leave our luggage while we go up Mt. Ijen but we wish we stayed longer as the place had such a home feeling. Very clean . Definitely recommend it !

The staff was so incredibly nice and helpful, they helped us book our ijen tour but also our train tickets. The common areas are super big, it gives the feeling to be outside while being protected from the rain. The dorms give a lot of privacy, and everyone has their own wardrobe.

We had a nice clean room with our own bathroom. The room had everything we needed. The property has several nice common areas where you can hang out including an outside garden. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hostel.

The property was very clean. The girls working there are absolutely amazing. They are so kind and helpful. They really go out of their way for you. I also have never seen house keeping cleaning the inside of the fan until here. I was impressed. The common area is also really nice.

I did not like the smell of the cleaning chemicals in the house and kitchen. It lingered after the cleanings. Perhaps a little more air circulation with standing floor fans would dissipate the smells more effectively. The ceiling and wall fans are a little too high up to create much air circulation. Would also like to suggest just wiping with plain water in the main part of the house as it is mainly to wipe dust off. It was quite hot both in and outside the house despite the ceiling fans. Also a lot of mosquitoes. Again suggest several standing fans placed inside n outside house to create a nice wind which would also deter mosquitoes from landing on the skin.

The staff were so very friendly and helpful; told me about the Damri bus which goes to Ijen and I could hike up myself in daytime if i did not want to do the night guided tour to see the sunrise and blue flame. The staff really set the tone of the place, making one feel welcome and at home. The building is spacious and welcoming. The dorm beds very comfortable, linens soft, showers with nice water pressure, ac cold. I really like the cupboards assigned to each person. The kitchen was clean, well equipped. I could cook on the stove. There was a hot and drinking water dispenser, ice cubes from freezer and a fridge to use if needed. The garden is beautiful with many seating areas tempting one to enjoy the outside views.

The staff is amazing. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and help you sort out everything you need. They organized the ijen excursion for us and also looked for buses to go to Bali. Everytime you arrive they greet you with a warm smile :) I just felt so well there. The place is so cozy and pretty and the common fascilities are really well looked after, always clean. I would recommend this place a 100%.

Out of the 30 different accommodations we've been to on this trip, this is the best place we've stayed. This might be the best hostel we've ever gone to globally. The ladies in charge are so friendly, so supportive and super easy to converse with. They helped arrange an amazing trip to the Ijen mountain. The interior design of both the communal areas and the bedrooms is well thought out too. In all of Indonesia, we discovered oat milk in their fridge too,w which was lovely! The hostel itself is located in a good space where we have great restaurants nearby as well as a short drive to the beaches etc. The bedroom was clean and free of bedbugs (we always check) and the bathroom was nice to use too. The A/C was very good too, not too powerful. We needed to sleep during the day since one of our excursions ended at 9am, it was perfectly quiet for that. I even got to have a few online meetings with an amazing internet connection too (i don't remember the number but it was somewhere between 50-100Mbps) We are very sad that we didn't stay for longer. In fact, if you're looking for a Bali vibe but a lot quieter, this is a perfect option.

Amazing property Exceptional staff Staff was very cooperative, even before coming when I asked various questions to them about nearby places to visit and transport, they were quite humble and explains everything in detail. Great experience living at Snooze Ijen 😊 Will definitely recommend to my known ones travelling to Java to stay here.

It’s a villa converted into a cute aesthetic hostel. The staff is EXTREMELY helpful. They sorted/helped me with my travels while I was there. Infact checked on me even after I had checked out whether or not I had made to the other place. The dormitories are superbly comfortable/air-conned and very neat washrooms/bathrooms. I booked my Mt. Ijen hike with them and everything was sorted right from pick up to drop. :)
