The bathroom lighting could be enhanced to improve visibility, especially for tasks like shaving where details may be easily overlooked due to inadequate lighting.

I was extremely impressed with the level of organization during my stay. It made me feel like a child again, being cared for by everyone. The staff were very friendly and intuitive, knowing when to engage in conversation or provide a peaceful atmosphere. Our afternoons by the pool, watching the sunset and sipping on delicious cocktails, were truly enjoyable. It was hard to say goodbye to such a comfortable environment. The spa was a must-visit, as it provided relaxation and positive energy. The diving club at the resort was a major highlight, with professional staff and the convenience of practicing on-site rather than having to travel into the city. I will definitely return in the future, especially after the kind gesture of a room upgrade which made our stay even more comfortable.

Breakfast was a bit of a random selection and mediocre at best. However we ate dinner at the restaurant and that was pleasant enough!

Hotel is like a little oasis! Our garden suite was comfortable and clean and the pool area was great with fantastic sunset views from the beach.

You can't swim on the private beach. But it wasn't a problem for us considering the different snorkeling tours we took and uncrowded pool.

We had very nice experience staying for 6 nights in the resort. The lobby, spa and pool  were beautifully designed. The room was bright and spacious, bed was super comfortable.  The staff's friendliness and dedication truly stood out—they went above and beyond to ensure we are satisfied and happy. The food in the restaurant was WOW: variety of dishes, amazing taste and presentation. The massage was great. The resort provides free shuttle to/from airport and town.  We highly recommend this resort.

The beach is frankly not the most amazing one, but we didn’t stay there for that. Also, one of the nights we were put in a connecting room, and were extremely disturbed by our neighbor. The staff was helpful and accommodated our room request for the second night.

An exceptional stay from start to finish! The hotel was immaculately clean, and our room was both comfortable and inviting. The pool was delightful and it just feels tranquil atmosphere everywhere. The staff's friendliness and dedication truly stood out—they went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Anggit especially very helpful with organising pick up, recommending local food with genuine hospitality. The spa experience was simply sublime, offering the perfect way to unwind, the spa staff also always greet you with big smile. We had to extend our stay last minute due to adverse weather and unable to sailing, the manager on duty, I forgot his name was amazing in sorting the room moving and facilitate everything.

It was Ramadan, so at 3am in the morning we got awaken by a loud speaker from a musk nearby. The next morning, the hotel supervisor moved us to a quieter (and better) room. Problem solved.

Super friendly and effwctive staff fixed our problem super quickly. The hotel facilities are extremely nice and comfy.

The only downside was that you cannot really swim in the sea here as the sea is dirty due to the close proximity of a river mouth.

The outside bath gets a lot of leaves and flowers dropping into it and looks dirty. The staff at reception are helpful enough but their attitude is dismissive and arrogant. Restaurant and housekeeping staff are lovely though.

Whilst our Rangok Beach Villa exceeded expectations from a room perspective, the resort is closely situated to a mosque. The call to prayer / prayer is loud and disturbed us frequently. We could hear call to prayer / prayer when we woke for our Komodo trip at 4:30am. This stopped and resumed at around 5:15am before we had even left the resort. It continued late at night (we could hear it from the restaurant) and other guests had the same complaint. We visited during Ramadan, therefore with concessions for this, the hotel offered no forewarning / explanation for this and it felt a little ignorant to not acknowledge at all. Unfortunately, the restaurant, whilst offering Indonesian cuisine, was a little bland and misguided. A focus on making food tastier with a simpler menu may improve guest experiences. Same is to be said about some of the cocktails. We also ate at their beach BBQ and whilst the idea was good (and the live singer very talented), we felt mislead as it was advertised as a set price affair, but that price was 'from' and was actually the lowest-priced meat offered at the BBQ. Higher quality meat/seafood was much more expensive. The BBQ included sides and dessert however this consisted mainly of salad, soup and rice. Whilst easy to make in volume, the variety was disappointing and halfway through our meal, many of the staff were visibly scrolling through their phones, disappeared off the beach completely or did not seek to offer more drinks, clear our plates or encourage us to use the dessert station. This was our most expensive meal in Indonesia and left us disappointed. Had we had more time in Flores, we unlikely would have eaten at the hotel restaurant again. This is a shame as I understand people travel to other hotel restaurants on the island, and given the distance of the Sudamala from the harbour, you would unlikely return just for the food.

The Sudamala was a welcome retreat from Bali! We travelled to visit Komodo however its location was welcoming and striking (having arrived at sunset). Our room was very special being right on the beach and nearby to the restaurant, bar and pool. The outside bathroom was a focal point (albeit not my preference!) and the turndown service was appreciated.

Great location by the beach in a quiet area. However, that means it is a bit far from the centre and transport is recommended. The room was big and clean, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The outdoor area is great - pool area, outdoor area around the rooms, and the beach area. The beach was clean and tidy, but only in front of the hotel. If you walk past this area, the beach is not that clean, but it didn't bother us as we understand that they cannot clean the whole beach. The food and drinks are good, but it's of course a bit more pricey due to being a resort. We loved that the resort offer different activities during your stay, like morning yoga.
