Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe whole resort is looking tired and old, and in need at some major maintenance . The communal toilets service the restaurant are extremely poor. Unfortunately only 16 of the original 40 rooms are available due to damage from the 2017 earthquake , which I think is why the maintenance hasn’t been keep up. Overall was expensive and not good value compared to Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembong .
Location , close to beach, (with own beach lounges), restaurants close by, walking distance from harbour and village. Pool was great.

GermanyBreakfast is very basic. Only eggs, white bread and nasi goreng. Coffee was quite ok but no milk alternatives (oat milk or similar) Dirty towels in the rooms. Toilets at the reception are pretty run down. So we would not return here.
We came here in 2017. we really liked the hotel at this time. The hotel is still nice but quite old and not so well maintained. We still like the pool area and the direct location at the beach. The villa was still ok but not worth 166€ per night.

United KingdomNothing not to like. Depends which side of the island you prefer on location. It’s not high end luxury no, big that’s not what we went for. Is it over priced? Yes probably, but we booked knowing that reading reviews. We initially had much more luxurious accommodation at Same price, but changed to here as don’t hear call to prayer as loudly!
Location good with kids and easy from boat. Kids loved the pool and the breakfast

United KingdomHaving visited, this hotel is overpriced for what it provides compared to other hotels right next door. The breakfast selection is small, but the cook to order pancakes and eggs were very good. I'd planned to base myself mainly at the hotel but when I arrived there were lots of unavailable food and drink items on the menu, so I spent time at the other beach hotels on this stretch of beach, where the loungers weren't as close to the road and staff were more available to take orders.
Whilst the villa room was spacious and clearly had a new bed/pillows and aircon unit, overall the building and bathroom need an update and weren't kept very clean. Hotel is right on the beach and in front of a great reef to snorkel on.

The hotel is small and intimate. The rooms are really nice with beachy design. Air conditioning worked really well. The pool was nice to cool off in after a day at the beach.

France- In the room, no much storage. - Orange juice is cut with water :( - Price slightly too high for the prestation (should be 60-70€/night instead of ~110€. May be it is due to Booking prices)
The location of the resort is really good (5-10min by foot from harbor) and surrounded by a lot of restaurants ! There are also 2-3 good dive centers not fare (3W Dive, Manta Dive and Oceans 5). The room is really nice, confortable, clean and quite. The curtains are quite effective ! The breakfast is really good :) it is a buffet composed of fruits, orange juice, rice, noodles, tomatoes, saussages, bacon, croissant, toast, cereals… Overall, good resort !

AustraliaAlthough the service was friendly, we found it difficult to order items. We kept needing to search for staff rather than being attended to, and each time we requested the bill I kept needing to add on items that were being left off as if they were forgetting to charge us. Lucky we're honest, otherwise there might've been a bit of money lost on mischarging product.
The staff were friendly. The room was sufficiently stocked for our needs. The location next to the coral reef was perfect for snorkelling and the partnership with the local suppliers made things easier.

NetherlandsThe proppertie could use some extra love as there is a bit of maintanance and updates needed.
Great location on Gili Air, just in front of one of the best snorkel beaches on the island. The accomodations are really nice and really relate to the relaxt island vibe. Snorkelling straight from the hotel beach, close to all the nice restaurant and close to the boats.

United Kingdoma little run down due to covid but will be back in full swing soon im sure. Also would have been much nicer if they didnt rent out the beach loungers to people who weren't staying in the resort, often finding them full was annoying as it was listed as a private beach.
Lovely little resort and perfect on the beach. Breakfast was great and a really great spot.

New ZealandRead the above. The swimming pool is lovely but needed a good clean and some chlorine added. The super hard bed, the tiny dark room, the bathroom, the unclean floors. The very bad value for money - it is very overpriced for the standard and while the beachfront location is lovely, there are plenty of other places with just as good a location for much less. Plus it's still a decent 10+ min walk around to the main town.
Way Overpriced for the standard of the rooms but a good location on the beachfront. The rooms are at the back of the property & are very small & dark and the bed is so hard, even for Asia, you may as well sleep on the floor. There is nowhere to put your luggage or clothing. The bathroom is ok but felt unclean. All the floors were dirty. The air conditioning was good. Lighting was poor. Plenty of lamps are provided. It has a small walled courtyard at the front but it makes it all feel even more cramped. The pool is lovely, though it needed a good dose of chlorine! Plenty of comfy sun loungers available. The restaurant space is great and has beautiful views over the road and the water. Breakfast was simple & adequate. Restaurant food was basic but ok. The beach sunloungers are in a narrow strip of dirt/sand between the road & above the beach and are quite dirty from the dirt/sand on feet (naturally) but the views are lovely. The 'traffic' passing by right behind you & the resort playing quite loud music mean it's not a very peaceful or relaxing place. However, we enjoyed swimming & snorkelling out front & watching all the activity of the day boat snorkelling tours. Staff are great & deliver drinks & food to you on the loungers. The resort is way overpriced & you can find much nicer places for much less. We moved from sunrise to a beautiful, luxurious, huge, almost new villa with our own private swimming pool 2-3 mins walk to the beach for EU10 per night LESS than sunrise! And note that our room at sunrise was a good 2 minute walk to the beach as well and you can easily use sun loungers on the beach by buying food or drink. :-) We would stay here again only if a signature suite overlooking the pool was available and only if it was at a much more reasonable rate.

SpainThe room (specially the bathroom) could have been cleaner since there was sand on the shower and the faucets in better condition (they were a little rusted). I didn’t expect it taking into account the room price.

GermanyThe hotel has a really nice style but some renovations (especially around the pool area) seem to be overdue - especially since the owners are Europeans you would expect some money to be invested into the maintenance. The doors to the rooms can be opened with a very light push, so locking them is not really helpful.
The hotel is located right at the beach near the harbour and close to all the great bars and restaurants. The part of the beach is great for snorkeling with coral reefs and sea turtles right there. The breakfast is good and even includes western coffee styles (espresso etc.). The staff (especially Lalu) is very friendly and was super helpful when one of our phones broke.
