This hotel brings back times from Bali bygone days! We were welcomed with the famous gong and loved all its charm and humble luxury with beautiful Balinese architecture and garden. The staff is welcoming and looking perfectly after you! The food at the restaurant is excellent. A must visit for anyone who appreciates the true appeal of golden days in Bali!

To be fair I can’t find anything worthy of complaining about.

Beautiful bungalow situated a few yards from the main facility and beach/pool etc. Seating outside the accommodation was private and lovely at the end of the evening. gardens were incredibly well maintained with lots of hidden features. No fighting for the lovely sun loungers on the private section of the beach. Even the beach se ton was raked every day and very well kept. Beach dining at night was lovely with the tables set up with lighting etc. Food was great whether it was a snack or full dining experience. The service by the staff was amazing always friendly and greeted with a smile. Thank you “Garfin” for going out of your way to make the extra bit of an effort and we wish you well. Lovely communal pool that was never crowded. Thoroughly enjoyable stay in this little hidden Jewel that I am so glad we picked.

The rooms, the staff, the intimate beautiful dinners under the lanterns

A wonderful magical place to stay, excellent hospitality, genuine kind and hard working staff, beautiful rooms with intimacy and privacy, yet connected to the hotel so nicely. It also has amazing Indonesian food, everything we ate was outstanding. It is not a surprise this place has been in business for so long, they represent old school traditional Balinese values which are truly so special to experience.

Nothing not to like.

Beautiful room, had a lovely Balinese style but with every comfort anyone could need. Location was perfect (we were beachfront) and the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was very good.

This is the most minor of criticisms, but the villa I booked said it was water views from upstairs. I would say this is a little overstated and water “glimpses” is more accurate. There is a lot of vegetation in the garden which, while lovely and affording privacy, blocks most of the water views. Only a minor issue though because I spent so little time in the villa, and you need only go steps outside to see the view

Everything. This hotel is exceptional. I didn’t want to leave. The staff were all friendly, professional and prompt and looked after even the tiniest of details. The pool is lovely and relaxing and the beach in front is beautifully maintained. Sanur is a much quieter area which I really liked.

I found the bed too hard & uncomfortable but others in my group didn’t have any issues.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, a true oasis. We loved the bungalows, the pool and the beach location. The staff were exceptional, so attentive and warm. And the food was fabulous. The hotel catered really well for both adults and children. We really didn’t want to leave!

I did not expect such a charming hotel to host a blood sport! On Sunday 24 March, as part of the ceremony for the anniversary of the temple (located within the grounds of the hotel), there was cock fighting. Blades were attached to the cockerels and they were made to fight to the death. Not only do I think that it is totally inappropriate for the hotel to host such an 'event', I strongly believe that this cruel, barbaric, practice should be outlawed altogether!

A truly beautiful traditional Balinese hotel.! The rooms and facilities are second to none (the pool is heavenly) and the hotels' private beach is the best in Sanur.

Our stay wasn't long enough.

Beautiful property on the beach with chaise lounges, parasols, tables with bar/restaurant service, ocean swimming and a lovely pool in tropical surroundings . The property was very authentic Balinese with statues, flowers, fountains and meandering path to each private bungalow. Also, the hotel was far back from the main entry road so no traffic noise but great to walk to and be in the heart of town. There was also a lengthy, beach pathway that stretched for km's connecting to cafe's, hotels, shops so we rented bikes for half a day and explored. Spacious bungalow room, beautifully appointed with a private outdoor, shower and indoor bath for two. Also, an open-air cabana, not attached, for lazing and enjoying nature. The staff was excellent, attentive and friendly. Food was varied and delicious (breakfast was included).

If you look for a privacy - this place is for you! We enjoyed a calm atmosphere in your bungalow courtyard and on the hotel’s beach as well. Breakfast was the best ever in Bali! It was pleasant to feel an attentive staff.
