Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI was so well looked after here during my stay, they do a good job making this place feel like home. It's in the beautiful countryside of Lombok near waterfalls and in a village so if you want a pace change this is a great place to stay. You can also set up hikes up Rinjani with the brothers too.

SingaporeThe room has no ventilation. Otherwise, everything is great.
Generally quiet, rustic homestay, with friendly owner and a warmth welcome. It is very near (walkable distance) the waterfalls. The owner also helped to arrange for a guide to the waterfalls, and arranged for a driver for accommodation transfer to another part of Lombok. The neighbourhood has very friendly people and some great food (Gado-Gado, Ikan Bakar, Fruit Juice). Great place for a rest.

AustraliaThe most amazing, memorable experience. Room is very nice and clean , opening into a very nice little private courtyard with beautiful plants . We had a chance to experience true traditional food ( absolutely delicious and beautiful presented ) in a traditional Indonesian style , eating with the family. We've always been made so welcome and part of the family . Okan and Didi took us to the Falls ( 800 m walk from the homestay) and showed us to the rice fields and his uncle farm 🚜 😍 Okan and his brother Ipul speak very good english and are experienced trekkers which makes this place ideal for adventure lovers . Staying at Tastura homestay was a privilege and a highlight of our trip . We highly recommend this homestay .

SingaporeAt this price point, I wouldn't expect more.
We enjoyed our meals at the homestay and learnt that the rice & veggies were from their own rice fields & garden. The host, Pak Syaiful spent time chatting with us whenever he comes to the crockery after our meals. His command of English is good. The location is great, walking distance to the Benang Stokel waterfall & 3 other nearby waterfalls. Premise is clean and the porch is tastefully done with lush greenery & beautiful Heliconia plants. The chickens are roaming freely in the compounds.

SingaporeLooking for an idyllic, authentic Indonesian experience? This is the place for you.. the home stay comprised of two bedrooms ( on ground floor) and upper roofed dining/relaxation) terrace. We had our delicious home cooked meals ( dinner and breakfast) at the upper floor .. weather this time of the year is cool and refreshing in the mornings n nights … there’s no need for Aircon or fan! May I stressed that the food while simple( using lreadily available local ingredients such as soya bean( think bean curd, tempeh) , vegetables, corn, spices) is very delicious, it was really cool to know that the rice we ate is from owner’s rice field! We also spent lazy evenings at the porch enjoying the little garden of birds of paradise and rose and shrubbery. The entrance to the park with waterfalls is just a couple of minutes of walk away. There are eateries just after the entrance for afternoon bites.. on top of clean rooms, great location n food, we got a great host, who took time to chat with us. This is not a negative, at this price , one can’t demand much, I did suggest that it will be great to have option to pay for hot water for shower ..nonetheless, with or without the hot water , there’s a high chance I will return to this very lovely home stay

United StatesThe room feels stuffy with no aeration and there is no sink and hot shower in the bathroom. Be prepared for mandatory escorts from the homestay to the waterfall visitor center to pay the tourists price.
The family is lovely, the location is perfect to get to the waterfalls by foot, and the room is clean. We asked to have dinner that night as there are not many options in the area and we had great local food and shared some good times with the host and other tourists.

SwitzerlandOur stay at Tastura was a highlight of our trip. The rooms are small, quaint and very clean. The waterfalls are near by and are beautiful, but what really made the trip special was the family who runs Tastura. They are warm and welcoming. We had dinner with them twice and enjoyed great conversation and the food was the best we‘ve had in Indonesia. We visited the waterfalls and rice fields accompanied by one of the brothers. After our stay he sent us photos & videos of our stay. All around we recommend staying at Tastura. (Check out Tastura Trekking Instagram page for more insight).

United KingdomIt would be good to have a sink in the room or bathroom but it is possible to use the shower instead for washing your hands and face.
My friend and I stayed at Tastura Homestay for two nights and had an absolutely amazing time. Our host and his family were so very welcoming and really made us feel like part of the family. They cooked meals for us and introduced us to local recipes that I haven't seen on the menu anywhere else. They were even able to accommodate me with vegan food! Everything was absolutely delicious as well. As far as the location, this is a proper homestay in a small, remote village. Very peaceful. It is also within walking distance of some absolutely beautiful waterfalls that are wonderful for a refreshing swim. Our host also acted as our guide for the waterfalls which was wonderful! The rooms themselves are quite basic but are comfortable.

Super memorable time with a great experience of their culture, I was invited to join the celebration of their neighbours wedding which was so much fun. Fantastic welcome, great host, very good vegetarian food on our request, close to the park and five nice waterfalls. There was a separate lounge above the rooms. Our host guided us through the park for half a day. It was very nice. It was a great local homestay experience even for the 60+.

AustraliaThe location is ideal if you want to be in close proximity to the waterfalls. The staff and family were very friendly and extremely kind. They provided an authentic Indonesian experience for us on our overnight stay. This included lots of delicious local food and drinks in between wonderful conversations with staff. We were certainly well fed during our stay and didn't have to look elsewhere for food or drinks.

IndonesiaThe place is not a luxury hotel. You are here for the nature and hiking.
Mr. Ipul and his brother Okan were most knowledgeable about the area and the kindest people whom I met in my trip in Bali and Lomkok! They showed me to 5 different waterfalls voluntarily and also took me to his friend’s home who makes the Trigona honey and served the honey, and it was delicious! Most of all his lovely wife cooked delicious Indonesian food for dinner and breakfast and served only to me and the head of the household mr. Ipul. I experienced some very authentic Indonesian culture due to the family’s kindness! I highly recommend Tastura Trekking!
