Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaWhile dinner was of high quality and very tasty, the breakfast buffet was average at best. Most of the buffet food was cold and the choices not plentiful. The noise from other guests checking in late, staying outside for extended hours and people moving out noisely for the early morning Ijen tracking did not allow us to get a good rest on one of the two nights we stayed.
The serinity of the place, friendliness of the staff and spacious room with king size bed and very nice mattress made this a pleasant stay. A wonderful bonus was the in room Balinese massage we booked via the reception.

IndonesiaOne thing that popped up on my mind while waiting in the lobby was: I can smell the bad odor from toilet since it was located right beside the waiting area of the lobby. There was a partition between them however I can still see the toilet because it was quite see-through. I suggest putting some vegetations or more solid partition to cover the bad smell and view in the waiting room of the lobby. The rest was really nice.
The architecture was unique and blend with the surrounding nature. We love the design. The room was quite large and comfy. The bathroom was nice. And all room have a balcony facing the ricefields. The staffs were also nice.

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast was served as buffet on the first day and a la cart on the second with no advance notice. On the second day it took long time to get the food deluding our departure. The staff should notify the guests in advance when the service change so that guests can adjust their schedule accordingly. No luggage assistance during the check out, and check out process a bit messy due to a cappuccino charge that took time and multiple calls to be settled , again delaying further our departure. Not major things, but the communications and interaction with gusts have to improve
Clean and good facility. Great view on the rice fields. On the way to kawah ijen

United KingdomUnfortunately the food was really below the quality we had expected from reading some of the other reviews. Perhaps the regular chef was away? The sides on our breakfast were cold, canned sausages, and the Rendang we had at dinner was by far the worst we had in all of Indonesia.
Loved the design, space and overall quality of the hotel. The beds were amazing and the staff are super helpful.

Rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff are super friendly 😀 The reviews weren't kindling about the food. My favourite meals the whole trip!!! The location was out of town so a very relaxed feel in the rice fields and other farms. Absolutely stunning 😍 You can borrow a complementary bike and ride around 🙏 Drinking water is provided where you can fill up your own bottle so less plastic! Also, there's a pool!!

GermanyKetapang ferry terminal is in a no Grab zone, if you need a driver you need to get outside a little. Also getting back to the city can be tricky, but the hotel provided a ride to the train station for 250k. Gojek seems not to be available in the area. The train to Probolinggo also stops in Banyuwangi which is a shorter ride. Ijen tour booked directly via the hotel is about 200k overpriced.
The standard of the hotel is very good. Quiet location in rice paddies, about 40 minutes drive from Mount Ijen hike. Pool area is pretty nice and protected from views. We had a very relaxing couple of days here. Very friendly and helpful staff.

IndonesiaBreakfast option was limited, but the portion and service was good. Unfortunately, the fruit platter that comes with the breakfast package was not very good. You might need to double-check when ordering food from the resto since there tends to be a mix-up. We ordered grilled fish but got gulai fish instead, but the taste was good so we still enjoyed our dinner. There was also a price difference between the menu and what we paid so better double check.
The room view was amazing, can enjoy rice fields and sound of the nature from our spacious terrace. Hotel looks new, fairly clean, and large rooms with connecting terrace, perfect for families!

GermanyI stayed there for one night. Arriving in the afternoon after Bromo and a long drive, leaving in the morning after visiting Ijen. So I requested a quiet room to get some sleep early and also take a nap in the morning. They gave me a “quiet” room - except there was just no quiet place in the hotel. They had a political event there until 7pm in the evening and starting before 8am in the morning, with loudspeakers, singing etc. It was really loud everywhere. Plus, you had to take your meals in the room because of that. There was not even a dining table. So this felt like being grounded. I would not be so displeased if they had either told me after the booking (when I requested the quiet room) or at least had asked at check-out if my stay was ok. Instead, they just asked me to pay for my coffee which I really needed after all this sleep deprivation… it COULD be a really nice hotel. Really a pity…
Very nice, modern and clean rooms, cool architecture, wonderful view
