Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe had stayed at another older 5 star very nearby the week previous and preferred that. Perhaps because we were treat 'personally' and food was better. Checking could have been better, our details were obtained but we were seen away from check in desk and missed the information about events etc that we noticed on the desk on check out. Breakfast selection was plentiful but the most of western had to be ordered and we was not aware or shown the menu until we saw another couple with one on the last day. Despite this hotel being newer it was a little tired in areas (decking areas and pool showers). The 'adult' main pool had very noisy children and families which at times spoilt the tranquillity. Guests were smoking in non designated areas around the pool which was uncomfortable for non smokers like us. Sunloungers were 'reserved' by guests and could rarely get a lounger after 9am. The main pool felt crowded around the sunlounger areas. Especially if there was a family/larger group. All issues fed back to staff, with minimal outcome other than courteous replies, 'we will make our leaders aware'. Restaurants were beautiful but hot food often arrived cold or cold food warm and soggy. It was hot weather but we had no other issues at the previous hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was very grand and beautiful but we was a little disappointed but given the cost this review may sound petty.
We stayed 3 nights, the hotel is absolutely stunning, a very instagramable hotel. Location great with stunning views and lots of photograph opportunities. There were many bloggers and influencers around the hotel including a couple of celebrities. Musicians in the lobby was very nice. Staff very polite and attentive. Room was lovely and big. We saw many weddings here and they were beautiful! Very accommodating with allergies.

Saudi ArabiaFew things I didn’t like: 1. Spa facilities should better to match the high standards for rest of the resort (Steam room, showers, sauna, etc). 2. Cleanliness of the pool restrooms. 3. The cleanliness of the beach area (Sand, seats, etc). But everything else in this place is amazing.
The lobby, food specially the room service, and the staff. I had some issues, but Ms. Ayu Anggreni - Cliff Lounge Supervisor immediately solved my room issue she was very responsive, professional, and friendly. Also, the staff in the entire are very friendly this what makes this place amazing, if you are looking for a peaceful Resort to stay.

New ZealandCan't think of anything
Best hotel we have stayed at by far. And we have travelled a bit. Fiji, Queenstown, Gold Coast, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hawaii. Nothing comes close. The pools, the rooms, restaurants, beach were all exceptional. But the best part was the Departure Lounge. It was our first. We checked out at midday but our flight was at 11pm. Our bags were moved to the Departure Lounge. We went out for a bit of shopping but were back to just chill in the lounge. Decent sized lounge, air con, balcony (15th floor) overlooking the hotel, bottled water, coffee, snacks, shower, pool, spa, sauna, lockers all in the lounge. Plus you still get access to all of the hotel's facilities while in the lounge. So me and my son went for another swim in the hotel pools, slide before showering and heading to the airport.

United StatesThe complex is so huge that at first you can easily get lost finding your assigned room because all the room designs are identical but after you stay a couple of days you figure everything out with relative ease.
This place makes you feel as if you are a emperor of your own kingdom! The staff provides a service that is beyond what words could describe!! Excellence Exemplarary Phenomenal The best experience in my travels of 61 years of life! The staff were beyond excellent! The facility is also outstanding but the people who work there display the true spirit of Bali which I will never forget!

IndonesiaThe property is really big, so don’t expect quick service in your room (dining or housekeeping). Our key card didn’t work one night after we came back from dinner and it took the staff 30 minutes to get us a replacement. But they did apologise a lot and gave us a free ride to the airport the next morning so they did redeem themselves. Even though it’s one of the costliest properties in Bali expect a lottt of crowd. There were waiting lines during breakfast and a lot of chaos in general in the property. I was only able to truely relax in the room (or maybe the spa which we didn’t go to). Also, do expect a lot of people getting professional photos taken during the evenings which adds to the chaos. We were also getting our shoot done, so just a note haha. But there are a lot of rules around photography in the property, so you will need a permit if you plan to get a photoshoot done. Restaurants and the lobby are off limits for professional photography. The beach is okish. With wave breakers in the front and on either side of the property, you don’t really get a clean view of the ocean.
The architecture and landscaping is phenomenal. I don’t think I’ve ever been so mesmerised by just a hotel lobby. We stayed in the basic room which was very spcacious. Even if you have kids, there is ample space for extra beds. There are a lot of restaurants. 6 in total and an additional cafe. So, the property is pretty self sufficient though it’s rather expensive to have all meals here as is the stay in the property itself.
