Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaPersonally I prefer pool outside with space around, however I can see why multiple hotels here have built summarily around their pools due to the size of the land upon which they have been established.

AustraliaBreakfast was the same every morning, and often there was no juice left. It seems silly to advertise cocktail ( offer free or 2 for 1 ) when you don't have any of the alcohol to make them.
The staff were always pleasant.

United KingdomIf anything I myself had issue with, the food wasn’t spicy enough even if asked for it. Indonesia food usually spicy.
All the rooms are pool facing but for a little extra the ground floor have pool access straight from your room. The location is about 30m at the end of an alley which takes all the hustle and bustle out of the equation but close enough to lots of shops restaurants and bars. The beach is around 400m further on and is easily accessible from there.

IndiaThe restaurant is a big drawback. Breakfast is just okay. Dinner isn't really worth trying
It's a great place to stay at kuta, rooms are comfortable and the place is very calm and quiet. The hotel is located out of the busy kuta beach and streets but just a walkable distance to the beach.

AustraliaTravelling with a family small bins an issue next time i would go and buy a big one! Floors in hallways were dusty and difficult for staff to keep clean - this probably a bigger issue on top floor where we stay due to dust carried from breeze. No private balcony for suite rooms. Would only stay in suites here - the other room types are very small.
Suite room very good value for families! We paid 125AUD a night for Royal Suite incl breakfast and at that price you absolutely cannot have any complaints given how spacious the suite room is.

HungaryMaintenance: every piece of furniture felt a bit worn off. Cleaning: bit irregular and they only use microfilter not water to mop which was not enough. Food: breakfast was OK but restaurant food wasn't. The menu and the food preparation should be reviewed. Also a proper coffee machine should be bought, we had to go to the nearby coffee shop (makita house) just to get a good one.
This was our second time here. This time we extended it 3 weeks. A staff was friendly and helpful, we felt safe here. The pool got new inflatable rings to play with. The beach is still near with good waves. The Beachwalk Plaza is 15 walk with good food options.

AustraliaProperty was a 10 min walk to the beach on the left and to the main JL Legian on the right. There were some good cheap restaurants, cafes and bars close by. JL Melasti was any easy walk as was Garlic Lane. Reception staff were super friendly and very attentive and helpful when requesting cabs and directions. Cleaning staff were great, coming back later in the day if a sleep in was required. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of cereals, toast, hot indo foods & fresh cooked eggs of all styles. Security staff at the entrance also provided a level of comfort knowing you were safe. All guests were friendly. Was great to see all guests sharing the facilities with nobody claiming pool loungers as their own. Great budget hotel.

United KingdomI stayed here 6 years ago and enjoyed the hotel - The room we had was starting to look tired and needed a refurb. It was more than adequate for our stay but without the refurb i would probably choose somewhere else that should not detract from the rest of the hotel which was generally good.
The Bene hotel is located in the Heart of Legion / Kuta - it has very good sized rooms - we had a family suite with interconnecting door - The breakfast in the morning was good if a little bit repeatable. There was a broad enough choice to keep everyone happy. The pool is a good size and well kept. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is the key thing with regards to the Bene - right in the very heart of Kuta yet very quiet at night.

AustraliaIt isn’t quite as central as you think from the map. Great to get to beach but not so much heading into Jl Bene. Lost count of the times I banged my leg on the bed base. A/C wasn’t working when arrived. They did fix very quickly. Either the cleaning or maintenance staff stole some of our property. When told reception didn’t do anything.
Nice and big for the price. Very quiet, not many there.
