Lovely hotel a bit outside of Ubud city centre. A lot of greenery around with lovely jungle noises in the evening. The staff and facilities are great. Two pools and restaurant on site.

The bed sheet feels not so comfortably dry, the smell is good though. I guess maybe the climate is too wet.

This hotel is full of Ubud color, surrounded by green plants and not-far-away farmland, very beautiful. The staff is very considerate and amicable, always ready to offer help with smile. We arrived pretty late the first night around 3am, the hotel especially arranged one staff waiting for us, thank you again. Besides, the breakfast is also very nice.

We were informed of a building project in operation before we stayed but still decided to come. The tranquility would be amazing during the day as it was in the evening for us if this wasn’t going on.

We loved the room and set up of the whole hotel. Great bathroom, Fabulous private balcony and beautiful restaurant area to dine. The staff have been incredibly welcoming and attentive to everything with great communication with us. The location is a little distance out of ubud but only a short drive in, we loved this being away from the hustle and bustle but still reachable.

The staff are all very friendly, especially Putu and Okta. They have a restaurant on-site which served great food. The room was a good size and bathroom was so clean and had fresh towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper etc. They also provided drinking water and you can ask for more if needed. I extended my stay here by 2 nights. They even had free Netflix you could watch on the TV in your room which was a dream during Nyepi! I felt safe here as a female solo traveller.

Overall pretty clean and neat, but the bathroom has poor ventilation so it quickly gets a moldy smell. The location is a bit hidden and a bit difficult to reach by walking. Unfortunately when we stayed, there was construction around the hotel (very common around Ubud) so it was not as quiet as it could be

The room is made of wood and the lights are a bit dark, so during the night the light didn't give the best visibility inside the room.

The villa got really heated during the day because of sunlight. It was like furnace. To compensate for that we got some refund on our room bill which was nice of them. They also gave us a cooling fan which made it comfortable. And they're also planning to revamp the room to fix this issue. It's nice to see that feedback is taken seriously.

The location is really nice. It's close to nature with trees around it. The bathroom was spacious, had all facilities. Room was nice with comfortable bed, pillows and even mosquito net like cover. Balcony is nice to sit in. We enjoyed good breakfast at the cafe every morning. It was delicious. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. We could communicate everything on WhatsApp which was so convenient. They really pampered us and made us feel comfortable. Very professional team.

Our only critique is that there was only one main meal vegetarian option on the menu. Fortunately the staff were able to accommodate our requests to modify certain dishes, but it would have been great to have some more variety of fresh, healthy vegetarian options to choose from.

The Compass Rose is a beautiful little hidden gem just outside of Ubud. The team very attentive and friendly, the room was comfortable and the area is very peaceful. We loved the pool, which we had all to ourselves and had a wonderful, relaxing stay.

It's a bit out of town so I had to get a gojek to go anywhere. It's not a huge deal as its so quick and easy to get a ride but not really walking distance to the main restaurants etc in the Bali humidity!

The place is beautiful, the team was great and really attentive, I loved my room and the balcony overlooking the garden.

The room is very large and all rooms have balcony ( as i saw ). I stay here only for sleeping, so i can not use the mini pool from hotel. They clean room everyday, but they forgot to refill the shower gel, shampoo or conditioner ( if you tell them, they will refill immediately ) . The breakfast can be take in the room or restaurant as you can organize with them on the previous day/night. They can offer your different activities : rent a driver, rent scooters and some tips for what you should to visit in Ubud . The villa is near of Ubud Palace ( middle of the city ), like 15 minutes with scooter / cars. See you next year!

The location is great if you want to only see the attractions in Ubud. If you plan to see anything further out, plan on the car ride lasting at least 45 minutes. Also, the WiFi service was good during the day, or in the middle of the night. During breakfast or dinner time (when most of the guests are on sight) the WiFi connection often dropped below 1 mbps, if it didn't drop out completely. There was some construction next door that got loud at times, but that seemed to be a temporary issue that we saw during our stay.

The breakfast provided each morning was amazing, the hotel staff were top-notch, and the location was great. I think the best part of our stay at the Compass Rose was the friendliness, helpfulness, and quickness of the staff. Everyone was very nice, answered our many questions, and took care of any of our requests promptly.
