How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. I liked everything.
This is a lovely place with a lovely pool for hot days. The location is amazing, right by Ubud Palace and right off the main part of the main street.

One of the staff members stayed in our room and was snoring VERY loudly and had alarms going off between 4am and 5am and was sleeping through them, so my girlfriend and i had to keep waking him up to turn them off.
Hostel is really nice, bathrooms are very good in rooms and the pool is nice as well! Staff are lovely and location is really good, alot of restaurants and shops around it, would stay again!

You have to be aware that they clean the room at 11am/ 12pm so if you’re still jet lagged you might wake up earlier than you wanted to.
Very lush and green property, nice pool and chillout area. Very friendly and helpful staff and overall nice atmosphere. Bonus: at 11pm the music was turned off so people who wanted to sleep could do so.

There was not enough kitchen equipment and also all the equipment is old and not that clean. Also the staff smokes all the time and since there is not much space on the territory you might end up breathing the smoke. The territory of the hostel is very small.
The room is spacious and there is some privacy even though it’s a dormitory room. The bathroom is amazing. The swimming pool is cool too. Location is perfect.

Felt very luxe for the price, one of the best hostels I’ve been to. Open kitchen, pool, lovely villa feel. Staff were a highlight.

I really love the peaceful vibe there, people are closer to each other, the highlights are their little kitchen equiped with everything you need, and the bathroom is really neat, the whole place is just exquisite and feel like home, good enery, away from the noise and crowd.

Air conditioning too cold. I never asked but I needed a second Blanket.
The stuff was incredibly smiling and welcoming, very helpful with tips and recommendations. I loved the open air washroom

well, I am the -local- solo traveller a bit surprised that there is no bidet spray in the female dormitory, I mean like whyyyyy😔 isnt it a fundamental things? especially in Indonesia, so please reconsider this🥲

Everything was perfect People who work there are absolutely fantastic The place is well located, clean and comfy with a equipped kitchen to cook if you need. I had the chance to spend a very spiritual moment over there, the “silent day” and it was very good. Thank you so much

You can’t pay by card at the property and they like to get the money when you check in.. otherwise they wanna keep your passport until you don’t pay 😌good to know
I spent 2 nights there, the room was nice and clean, AC worked well and the bathroom was amazing :)

The staff are so friendly and approachable. It's very calming there, u step inside the wall from the road and its like a mini oasis away from the busy. The place is small, 2 dorms so so not hectic at all. Family run vibe. Curtains round the bunks creating privacy, its also encourages others to be quiet as they can see if u are sleeping/relaxing. Gorgeous outside shower toom.

I was not a fan of the woolen blankets, but that's really a minor inconvenience.
I just love this place! The staff, the garden, even the beds are super comfy. The pool is wonderful. My favorite was the outdoor bathroom. The area surrounding it are lively and if you like, you can even walk the 1.5km to the beach. There are tons of great cafes and restaurants around.

Top bunk was too hot, bottom bunk was too cold due to where the AC was placed. Fine overall.

It's a really nice place to stay! Friendly staff, friendly guests, beautiful garden. The rooms are nice and clean, bed comfortable, own locker, towel, AC, you can use the kitchen. Everything was just super good.

The Jungle House was a wonderful stay! I couldn’t have expected better. The location is a little bit away from the centre and therefore quieter. The house is beautiful, a small jungle with a pool and relaxation areas. But the best part is the staff and the people there, they are great!

The kitchen was pretty small and behind the bar/reception and the fridge was always extremely full. But if you're not cooking or preparing your own food, that's irrelevant!
Loved my stay in the Jungle House! The boys who work there are really cool and sometimes had their friends over for a jam session. Was nice to get in contact with locals :) Its not a party hostel, so its also rather quiet. The dorms were spacious and clean and every dorm has its own bathroom which is also very nice. The garden is beautiful, felt like I am in nature even though the place is in the city. Good location, close to cafés, laundry, shops. Would definitely recommend and come again! :)

Weda and putu the staff were very helpful and pleasant during the stay It was down season so u more or less had the whole 8 bed dorm to myself. Shower was lovely, open area in the back Water is provided in a large barrel for singular use which I loved when lying by the pool
