The beach wasn't as i expected

I stayed with my family and love the room, especially the view which was in the wood. Staffs were also very helpful and nice, and love its coffee. Definitely will be back for another trip

Only issue were mosquitoes but not much to be done except use the repellant and coils supplied by the property.

What to say about this stunning resort? Beautiful beach villa with stunning sea views set in a national park teeming with wildlife. Wonderful staff who really went the extra mile for us, lots to do, very good food. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed and totally tucked away from some of the less appealing sides of Bali tourism.

This property was everything we wanted it to be! The National Park location ensures that you feel totally isolated and in the beauty of the local forest.

Activities could be better, did birdwatching and was great. But been in a National Park I was expecting much more in terms of activities to do and things to see. Some parts of the resort have been left without maintenance, like kind of a bird release cage in the Monsoon Resort, and the birdwatching tower that is broken and inaccessible.

Absolutely wonderful staff, very kind and helpful! Everything very clean, and very nice food, they cater for vegan with great choice for lunch and dinner, although vegan breakfast could be improved.

A unique place, great time there

Everything was excellent and perfect, and they do have an eye for detail there. Just small things like your room was always made when you were away for breakfast. You ate the biscuits they provided, next time you come to your room the jar is filled up again. The snorkelling trip to the island was an experience of a lifetime. I had not imagined such beauty. Altogether, this is such a beautiful place.

The room where we stayed was far away from the beach, not walking distance.

Very remote part of the island, the snorkelling at Menjangan island was good. The staff was very friendly and the food great.

The stay feels like a small safari, also the hotel offers a good number of activities to do: horseback riding at sunset, bird watching, snorkeling, cooking class, massages etc.

Cost of snorkel hire. I would have liked the division of areas to be clearer in the booking.com post. FYI, there are three area: beachside villas (including a private residence) and seafood restaurant, a set of villas in the bush which is 2km from the beach, and Bali tower which is 800m or so from the bush villas.

The breakfast was great but other meals a bit average for the class of the property. The activities were wonderful. Some a bit expensive but really enjoyable.

Set in a beautiful (although currently very dry) national park. The rooms were wonderful and set beautifully around a pool. We enjoyed the 2 km walk to breakfast but there were also ample shuttles. The breakfast was great. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was perfect

Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was really professional and attentive. The hotel is located in natural park Bali Barat which is magnificent ans quiet. We didn't want to leave and reserved one more night We really loved the romantic diner in the Beach House and the sunset in Bali Tower.

Really enjoyed snorkelling off the beach restaurant, though I think they could just provide the snorkels for free. Walking the roads and trails was fun, as was hanging out at the tower, watching hawk-eagles and swifts fly past. We had a friendly staff member look after our 2 year old for a day while went on a bird excursion, and that went very well. He loved her.

We stayed at The Residency which was a 3 house facility with a large private pool overlooking the ocean. Views were stunning. Plenty of room in the comfortable houses. They were kind of rustic but this was not a problem as they were well maintained and had a charm. The views were stunning. The grounds were great with lots of privacy and bicycles were made available to us and included for no extra charge - they also had Jurassik Park style vehicles that would pick you up and I was told I could use a motorscooter but never got around to it. In the park there was a restaurant where we had dinner but we had them bring breakfast to us which we shared with our guests in the central meeting room where they had a kitchen and a TV - both of which we didn't really use but it was nice to have them. We did use the large porch where we did yoga in the morning. I don't want to forget the 'butlers' who were there 24 hours and attended our every need including answering questions about the area and different possibilities that were open to us. My own regret was not staying longer - if you have the $$ and the time. Stay for a week you won't be sorry.
