The service in the restaurant was great but slow.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, definitely helped by the Soloese music and decoration. The hotel is well located, including to visit the Lawu Mount and its astonishing temples. The restaurant had lots of food for many palates.

The state of the toilet and plumbing was quite disappointing. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by an unpleasant ammoniac smell emanating from the toilet, which was clean but clearly in need of maintenance. The plumbing system seemed to have a leak, as evidenced by the essential oil scent that permeated the room throughout our stay. No, we did not complain. After 8 hours of the Dwipangga Luxury train ride, we just wanted to get a massage and sleep. The staff is something else. During check-in, I booked two rooms under my name and my mother's; it took a while for them to realise that my name was on the second room. Then, booking the spa service is a bit of a drag because they are waiting for another guest to confirm their session (a Caucasian foreigner and his local wife), and confirmation cannot be done until they finish their swim. What a joke. We called a few times, but the spa still needs to return our call at the requested time. My mom and I finally got an in-room massage, which was nothing special. Maybe I should have also brought down my foreign husband to get instant confirmation. There was a clear communication barrier with the staff. While they always answered the phone in English, my foreign husband found it difficult to continue the conversation in the same language. The hotel needs to give better customer relation training. After fixing the plumbing. Also, I had an emergency request for water for my baby the morning of our check-out, and the response from the front desk was: bottled? That would be 30,000 IDR. The original price for NORMAL bottled water is around 5,000; it is unclear what kind of royal bottled water they try to offer us. We speeded up our check-out.

The location is very centred, but you will always get a good view. They put us in rooms whose windows are kind of disturbed by the outer decorative structure of the building. If you have to stay here, choose without breakfast. The ROOM SERVICE food is way better, and probably the boy who delivers it to the room is the one of the two best staff there. The dudes at the entrance are also very helpful.

It looks dated, many parts are old and need an upgrade/refurbishment. The pool is quite small.

Its like a 5 star royal hotel in the 1960s but it was never refurbished since then. The staff act like they work in a 5 star hotel and the food is of a high standard. Was a really nice hotel to stay in.

I arrived around 3:45 PM, the rooms were not ready. During check in process, it was written the rooms were at 6th floor, but need to wait 15 minutes to be ready. After 20 minutes there were not ready yet, i need to ask and push them to give me the rooms, but instead if 6th floor they gave me 5th floor, with the reason that those were ready first. I wonder why didn’t they clean up 6th floor first. Or of they knew the 5th floor were ready first they can give us the 5th floor from the beginning. The room condition were old with noisy air conditioning and wear flooring. Upon check out, still needed to wait more than 5 minutes before they can release us and not after asking the front office again and stating that we are not taking anything from the room. Please give more smiles from the staff at the front desk.

The staff came in the last hour of our stay to offer a minibar setup. That moment, i was trying to take a rest because i had to leave the hotel in 2 hours. I didnt open the door because i was too tired n wanting to take a short nap. Unfortunately the staff kept knocking the door n ringing the bell.

The age of this property shows when you look inside. Nice Javanese design. Room has number of rough edges. Location was perfect in the Slamet Riyadi street, near Alun-Alun, Pasar Klewer, Pasar Gede, Kampung Batik etc.,

Interiors are wonderful. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. Foods have always been fresh and lots of variety. We stayed for Christmas holiday, and the hotel was very generous with the welcoming treats, delicious cookies by the way. Regarding the room we stayed it was spacious and clean.

The staff's hospitality could be improved; despite completing payment at reception, there were repeated phone calls to the room inquiring about payment status.

The hotel boasts a classic ambiance and a strategic location, conveniently situated near shopping centers, batik stores, culinary spots, and souvenir shops. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the room facilities are somewhat dated but still functional. Basic amenities are provided. The breakfast options are limited and lack variety.

The top of dispensers in the bathroom could use more wipes so it'll look cleaner for the guests convenience. A little bit ornaments in the lift are ripped off. The water of the swimming pool was ice cold.

It is really a beautiful hotel with authenthic Javanese ornaments all over. Really loved the vibe. The location is near to major tourist attractions and restaurants.
