Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe only thing that would make this better is the aircon in our room, the room in general was pretty humid and clothes/bathers didn't dry very well. They did have a dehumidifyer in the room but that was the only thing that could be improved. everything else was incredible.
The breakfast was great, and the overall resort was stunning! Loved our room, it was huge and the pool was beautiful too.

United KingdomDining areas could be improved a little and felt a little tired and uninviting.
Fabulous location in the jungle of Ubud. The pool villa was stunning with the jungle as a backdrop - we even got visited by a family of monkeys! Free shuttle into very busy Ubud, but it was lovely to come back to the tranquil vibes of Sebali and cool off in the pool. Great location for rice terraces, temples and waterfalls with tours organised or the help of a dedicated driver.

GreeceOur stay at the Sebali was truly wonderful! We miss it already. The pool villa was magical. The staff was incredible, each and everyone of them. Soni our driver took us on a lovely day trip, the chef gave us a great cooking lesson and the staff at the reception took exceptional care of us. Be sure to do all the hotel activities they are so special, like the walk with a local. We can't wait to go back.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, always available and go out of way to make the stay comfortable. The restaurant is located with a valley view. Very calm and quiet location in the middle of forest and nearby waterfall. A truly tropical paradise!

AustraliaThat I had to leave.
Any words I use will not do this property justice. Don’t even think, just book. The staff are 20/10. They treat you like you are the most important person in the hotel. The room was beautiful with the pool - bathroom was huge, the main pool was an absolute sanctuary, and breakfast is THE BEST. We had an included massage which was divine, with the sounds of the jungle and river. I also left my Kindle in the room when we checked out & they WhatsApped me straight away and organised for it to be sent to our next hotel. Will 100% be back to the Sebali Resort.

IrelandWhere do we start! Front start to finish the staff at Sebali couldn't have been more welcoming/friendly and treating us like a part of their family❤️ The room.was amazing , and was so beautifully decorated for our arrival on our honeymoon! The food was amazing and always so fresh, the drinks were also top notch and the Spa was truly divine. We couldn't rate this higher! We got to meet the manager on our last day, when we found out our flights were cancelled and the team at Sebali went over and beyond to make sure we were sorted. We will definitely be back!

SingaporeNothing! Except that we were confused about seeing a baby in a stroller the first two days of our stay since this resort was advertised as childfree (15 years and up)? Thankfully, we didn't hear the kid too much, but we still found it a bit strange.
We adored our stay! What a marvelous place! From the room, to the service, to the facilities..! We loved the spring water private pool on the gorgeous balcony with the beautiful view, to the most amazing spa room I'd ever seen with the endless natural sounds of the waterfall nearby for our couples massage, to the complimentary morning walk to the rice fields and beautiful nearby village, and the shuttle service to Ubud city centre... Just wow!

AustraliaThe resort itself is very rustic, it needs cleaning on the outside and some painting around the balcony restaurant areas, the lift needs cleaning, need to ant guard the tables, was fighting ants off our breakfast....but I guess that's jungle life.
If you're looking for a quiet jungle like atmosphere you'll find it here. Very relaxing yet a short Grad ride or free resort shittle yo tge centre of Ubud (5 mins) Attentive staff, very friendly & the rooms are super clean. Bed is firm but comfy, great pillows. Great massage, the spa was great. Complimentary mini bar (no alcohol). Pool was cool for us to chill off everyday....and we loved Ginger & Pepito :-)

United Arab EmiratesThe only problem with this place is that it is absolutely filled with insects due to the nature of the location. If you are scared of insects try to book a spot a villa near reception.
It is in the middle of the Jungle, you feel transported to another world.

United Arab EmiratesNothing, it was great.
Beautiful resort with views of the jungle and waterfall. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and so friendly and professional. The fact you can have breakfast in your room every day at no extra charge is a great extra (plus one day when we overslept they called us to deliver it to make sure we didn’t miss it!). The spa is wonderful, very charming and secluded with excellent treatments. The Sebali was our first choice to stay in Ubud and it was even better than we expected. Thank you to all the staff for such a special stay.
