How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

- Entrance was a bit hard to find because I saw no sign outside (but maybe that’s my own fault). - Choose one of the cheaper rooms because the “most luxurious room” isn’t worth the money. It had an outside bathroom which may look nice but isn’t practical (mosquitoes, there was a cat in my bathroom, very dark at night, cold after showering). - There were some holes in the walls and openings in the doors so there will be geckos and mosquitoes in your room (but that’s quite normal here) and you could hear everything from outside and the other rooms. - Wifi wasn’t great.
- The rooms and the pool area looked very modern and clean. - There was a good restaurant as well. - Staff was nice and helpful. - Good location.

They had lots of lockers in the dorm room but no keys. No curtains in front of the bed so no privacy, and bunk beds really close to each other.
Very nice and clean and boutique. Peaceful and laid back.

The staff was not possible to reach in the morning before check-out but I contacted them afterwards and we made an agreemend.
I like the garden and swimming pool. The staff was very nice and helpfull.

Some staff were very helpful and friendly however others were slightly unresponsive and seemed a little unsure about things. For example, we waited for a long time at the cafe with menus in hand, until asked, the staff member did not bother to tell us it was open. Also upon checkout we were provided with the incorrect invoice (it was for another guest but had our room number - we had paid online but almost paid again without realising because we were in a hurry to leave). Would still recommend despite these minor issues.
Great location, very central. Good price for the location. Lovely rooms with stylish decor. Pool was small but very nice. Daily room clean. Met the knew owner who seemed great and was very friendly. Nice place to socialise with other guests. Good shower.

The hotel is quite hidden and I was not able to find it immediately. Also my driver was unable to park right in front. It was located near the busy street which made it a bit tough to fall asleep and having a shower curtain would be a suggestion I’d have. Also, one thing that did upset me is that the restaurant still served plastic straws as the plastic pollution is such a big problem in Bali.
Super nice staff and great location with walking distance to Canggu‘s amazing restaurants, bars and beach!

Really enjoy our stay here. Staffs are really nice, and the location is unbeatable. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Pool is nice too. Our rooms are cleaned everyday. It is possible to rent a motorbike from the hotel. A little bit suggestion, tho. We booked 2 rooms, and one of the room has dim lighting. It was just a minor thing, but changing the bulb into a brighter LED bulb would make it nicer.

Perfect location, middle of everything. Staff is also helpful and gives recommendations and sorting tours and transportation needs. Tranquil space in the heart of Canggu. Comfortable accommodation and great value. Will be back for sure again.

Horrible experience,the bed had bed bugs,my skin is full of bites, its itsy and scratchy, I woke up every hour at night because of this.Annoying and sad nights there.We booked one king size bed and they tried to give us 2 single instead. Im full of bites from the Bugs.The room is not properly sealed,so the AC wasnt working properly,also smells bad because the filter was dirty and smell like dust and humidity,the wall by the pillows was broken, the jacuzzi & the toilet too. The pool was dirty and holes too in few sections. The electric wires were unsafe. I would never be back there and do not recommend anyone. They were babies around as a guests. Be careful.
