How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. I was delayed for several hours due to a traffic accident, but the owner was very understanding and helpful. The room and house were spotless.

The owner is very friendly and he let us stay in the lobby while waiting for our flight. Easy communication through WhatsApp with our arrival time. Safe neighborhood, not too far from the airport. Strong WiFi.

The location was perfect, very close to the airport. And so quiet, can't hear any airplane noise.

I booked the guest house twice, at arrival and before my departure, it is only 20min from the airport, wich is very convenient because I had an early flight the next morning. Chandra was very helpful, I arrived late and he waited for me, and woke up early the morning to help me book a taxi for the airport. The money also goes to a charity 🙏🏼🙏🏼

From the airport to the Traveller Home it is a bit far due to many one ways. But the way to the airport is only about 20min by taxi.
Very friendly owner. He gave us information for restaurants and shops; The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Also the shared kitchen and bathroom were very clean.

Fantastic stay, cannot recomend this enough. First, the place. Very clean, it just smell of clean as you walk in. The rooms are comfortable, with AC, the beds are spatious and the overall place looks great. Its's also very close to the airport and shopping malls, if you feel like shopping while you're there. Second, the forte of this place, the owners. Chandra and Henni are incredible hosts. They are super helpful, they will provide you with ton of informaiton, make sure that you know how to avoid rush hour, not miss trains etc. They may also take you on a night out, to make sure you have the best time while in Jakarta. Again, cannot recomd this enough.

The dormitory bed is huge, able to put my stuff freely within my area. The toilet / shower room is also spacious with full-stock of toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and large hanger available. Bicycles available for free with its lock, it was very nice to cycle around the area. Outside the gate; there are many delicious Indonesian food, I was tempted to buy all the foods. The owner is kindhearted, there are many helpful signs provided in the hostel - made my stay very comfortable.

We only stayed here for one night to go to the airport the next morning and booked a private room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The host was super nice and offered to help order food to the right location and was just beyond helpful!

Everything was excellent
I booked a dorm bed at travellers home as it is but a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. The property is set in a private gated and very safe community. Its owned by a very friendly and charming couple who use any profits to help a charity they sponsor. The property itself is spotless and very comfortable and the 3 dorm beds are spacious and very comfortable. The air con is ice cold which helped me get a good nights sleep as it can get very hot outside at times. Jakarta is about 30 minutes away by bus from the main road and there are many cheap and very friendly places to eat nearby.

Good place to stay for a night close to the airport! The owner is a really nice guy and puts the profits towards his foundation, so definitely worth supporting

It was clean, comfortable, Chandra the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful, and it was close to the airport which is what I needed (25 minutes).

The owner was explicitly helpful and kind. A wonderful person! The place is clean and nice. You can use the kitchen with all the equipment needed. Close to the airport. And you can use the bikes for free :)
