Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyEverything. The staff is amazing all very nice, helpful and friendly people. We had one of the valley view villas and it provided the privacy we wanted. I can only recommend the spa for the massage and also the tours. Breakfast is good and they have a nice menu for the other meals if you don't want to go into town

SwitzerlandThe pool was cold and it was not that hot. The toilet was too high, I barely touched the ground with my feet… the shower gel was too far from the shower, not practical. The food was ok but not great. The villa was not very well isolated, you hear you neighbors, Hopefully everyone was respectful.
The view on the rice field was amazing. The bed was comfy. The staff was nice. The location was very quiet but not too far from Ubud center. We felt very relaxed in this villa. Also the massage was great! The cocktails were good.

United KingdomThe room looked a bit smaller than in the pictures and the outdoor area didn't have the large outdoor bed as it was showing in some of the pictures of the website (we noticed later that it had mixed pictures from two different rooms). They should change this as it can be confusing. The only wardrobe in the room was in the bathroom so we didn't store our stuff there as insects and lizards were around in that area. Although the outdoor shower/bath is a great extra, we feel like it should be improved as this area isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom so is warm along the day, and lizards, insects and ants are found in the whole bathroom. They should have a door between both areas to avoid that. Also, we couldn't use the bath as it would get dirty with waste of animals. The gap where the water from the infinity pool dropped was narrow and low and one of the main paths where people were passing by was right underneath. The slightest movement through the pool means a lot of water would drop into the path so not ideal. We found the drinks and lunch/dinner menu of the hotel expensive. Keep in mind that closest restaurants are 15/20mins walking from the hotel.
We stayed for two nights and the experience was amazing. The location is right in front of the rice fields and you get great views from your private pool in the garden. We were collected by a golf buggy from the drop zone as the hotel isn't accessible by car. We got a welcome drink and we were able to get our room earlier. The breakfast was included with the room and it was amazing. You can have it in the canteen or in your room. They also offer packed breakfast if you need to leave early. The buggy service is 24hr available so not issue if you need to leave early or very late anytime. You just need to call them on Whatsapp and in a few minutes, they will collect/drop you.

United KingdomDecided to eat at the hotel on our first night as they were doing an outdoor BBQ. Unfortunately the heavens opened so they moved everyone into the reception area (only inside area). We were a bit late so had to sit outside under the gazebo. This was the main problem as although we were initially seen quickly there was then a delay until our food arrived. My starter then arrived at the same time as the main, my wifes initial fish dish was not cooked properly so was returned for a chicken dish, this also was undercooked. At this point (i had finished my meal) we went back to our room. To the credit of the hotel they removed my wifes food from the bill and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and deserts.
Loved the hotel and the views of the rice fields from our room (with private pool). Outdoor bathroom, whch was an experience in the rain :). Staff very friendly. Cannot be accessed by car so there is a drop off point and you are met by a member of staff in a golf buggy that transports you to the hotel - quite quirky, thought it was great. Breakfast good.

GermanyThere was no warm water in the bathroom/shower... Not that this is a real problem in a place like Bali, however, it would have been nice to be able to warm-up water a bit for the shower.
The room design is very appealing. Our room included a private pool, which added to the comfort. Breakfast was "ok", nothing too special though. The AC system was quiet and efficient ! There are a few waling options from the hotel towards Ubud town across the rice fields. This is a nice experience.

IndiaNothing. Would have liked staying longer but it was booked out :( There are lizards that come out in the night time, I didn't have a problem with it but if you do, maybe let the staff know. I'm sure they can sort you out.
The pool, the speaker in the room, the staff, the cozy bed, the lawn area. The buggy service was great in case you had to get out. They even had a shuttle service that takes you into the city but I didn't need it. Overall, it was a dreamy stay!

AustraliaBugs but that is a given considering the outdoor design of the bathroom, and slightly low water pressure in shower.
The layout and design of the villa being situated within the rice fields. The privacy of each villa and having your own pool was lovely.

FranceThe view on the rice fields from the bed and swimming pool was amazing and so relaxing. no building work is going on next to the hotel which is a plus considering the amount of construction in Bali. The staff was smiling and helpful. Breakfast was totally ok with limited choices if you stay a bit long but for few days it is perfect. The location - if you wish to walk between the rice fields is amazing - easy access by walk to Alchemy Yoga and then to ubud center in 1hour.

The Villa with the private pool and terrace was amazing. Views over the rice paddies and bedside view of the sunrise every morning. Staff are exceptional and friendly. Even brought me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday. Perfect peaceful and spectacular location. Massage was relaxing too.
