How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We didn't see any staff except for when we checked in and the bathroom could have been cleaner.

I was given a very different room than the one in pictures, much smaller. It was however clean and the bed comfortable.

we had no sheets, the air conditioning didnt work and no temperature control in the shower
the location was nice and near by the sea, wifi was good and nice pool

this is regarding room 3 - extremely squeaky bed and the lights on the road come directly into the room. Better to try one of the other rooms behind. Also, the AC wasn't that powerful or cold and the shower was weak with little hot water and bathroom needs an upgrade
Good sized room with TV. Swimming pool was a good size too and clean and the location is excellent with the beach and a warung within 5 mins of walking and the main strip (J. Binaria) only a few mins by bike.

Bathroom was outdated, old towels.

the bathroom could get a renovation. it is okay but not the best and the fridge you couldn't use because it was not clean at all. Another thing was the bad wifi. Outside at the pool it was okay but even there not the best. I had to use just my own data so basically like there is no wifi
The spot is great, you can walk to a great and quiet beach, you have a small supermarket close and as well food options. There is a pool and you can meet some people.

Booked a deluxe room and was given a smaller room. Manager did not want to give me the difference in cost. The room had not been cleaned. Dusty windows and bathroom. I asked the manager for the room to be cleaned the next day, but it never happened. No hot water. Broken flush. Rusty doors. It got stuck sometimes. Missing light bulbs, including in the toilet over the sink. No toilet paper and soap. This was given to me when I asked. Reception area was messy and there was rubbish lying around such as empty beer bottles.
Great location. Nice swimming pool. Nice sized rooms.

we got few unpleasant surprises: - when we arrive they said fully booked, after insisting we got a room (other guests were then refused) - the room wasn’t clean, the bed was made but sheets were dirty as well as the bathroom (the cleaned after we asked them) - We had to request for towels and toilet paper - The showers flows ridiculously low, don’t expect to wash hairs - The AC was working once we plugged it in but the remote wasn’t. We couldn’t set the temperature etc - we had problems with ants, this was due to open food as we couldn’t store it in the fridge (Stinky and moldy) - no communication with the owner or Oyo team was possible through bookings (only automatic message)
We got what we payed for but also what we asked for… The previous comments really reflect this place, you can have a good experience if you are prepared for it or have low standard

they cancelled my booking, took my money and said I didn’t show up ! my two friends had a reservation there also but the venue was already fully booked but still taking bookings, so when my friends went there they said oh we are fully booked ! joke !

Especially bathroom was very dirty. Lots of mold and spider nets. And at the night there were lots of mosquitos in the area, so we wish there were bed net on the place.
