Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The manager, Noah, will make your stay as comfortable as possible by responding to any requests or questions you might have, he is very present and friendly with all of his guests. Belgium-
It was a cozy / homey stay. Noah and all staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. They had also prepared a nice booklet with all their suggestions from activities to restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and sustainable (better than an open buffet which would cause food waste each day) Last but not the least, meeting Coco, the resident dog, made our stay even more enjoyable.

AustraliaDo need to get grab taxis to all destinations, although this wasn’t an issue as they came very quickly. Occasional gecko in the bedroom.
This was an amazing hotel, run by extremely friendly staff who were always happy to help. We had amazing massages and yoga lessons easily organised and for a good price. Breakfast was lovely with lots of options daily. The pool area was very relaxing. Peaceful and calm atmosphere. Comfy and clean rooms.

NetherlandsThe place and room are a bit worn out, although they told us that they are working on buying furniture and doing maintenance already. The street next to the hotel is super noisy, luckily we had the room to the back. There is nothing on walking distance, you either need a scooter (which we didn’t have an A license for) or rely on grab/gojek. we tried to walk at night but bali roads have no sidewalks
The friendliness of the family that owns the place, the pool was great with a nice view, the food was really good and the room was huge They have a booklet with everything you might need, from massages to scooters. The architecture of the hotel is beautiful, great for pictures.

Czech Republic- Hotel is more like a family-run place than a typical 4-star one, - rooms could be better equipped, no fridge in the room (you can use the fridge in the lobby), - cleaning could be more thorough.
- Nice location (we keep coming back to this area and we love it), - stunning views, - tasty à la carte breakfast (most hotels in Bali offer only 1 option from the menu, here you can choose as many as you like), - nice pool area, - laundry services and motorbike rental at the reception for very good price, - while there may have been minor issues about the accommodation, the outstanding service provided by manager Noah who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect our my stay was enjoyable. I was impressed by his attentiveness and professionalism.

PolandEverything was perfect:)
Our stay at Adila Bali was a truly unique experience. When we arrived, we felt welcome and at home. The hotel is designed beautifully, and it’s harmoniously connected with the surrounding nature. Our room was very comfortable, designed perfectly down to every single detail, with custom bedsheets and original furniture. The food was also amazing - we could choose from a wide array of vegetarian dishes. The hotel has a beautiful pool, a spa/massage area overlooking the ocean, and a beautiful open reception and dining area. The manager, Noah, made us feel welcome and comfortable. We are already thinking about coming back to Bali again and if we do, we’ll definitely choose Adila again.

KazakhstanThere is a road nearby and it is quite noisy in the morning. You can't do without a scooter - but this is not a disadvantage - just information.
Nice vila - a good surfing beach nearby. Everything was cozy, clean, tasty, you feel as if you are alone in the entire villa. It will be a long way without a scooter.

AustraliaIt was a little noisy at night & early morning with a neighbours dog barking, roosters and a bit of traffic noise. The reason why we could hear all that is because a few of the windows only had wooden shutters with no glass. The only other minor downfall is that we had to get a driver to be able to go anywhere. There wasn't anything within waking distance. That wasn't a big deal though.
The room was very spacious, big bathroom with great shower. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was awesome! Comfortable bed. Pool was clean and refreshing. Nice view and a beautiful breeze everyday when sitting out on the balcony. Coco the resident dog was very friendly and well behaved. He's adorable.

AustraliaTo be honest, I felt a little let down by this place. It was noisy with traffic going by, especially as it's marketed as a place to relax and unwind. It was however beautifully presented but I just thought I'd get a different experience. One that matched it's website. I thought the menu was basic.
The lookout. The ambience. Staff were pleasant and non intrusive. Rooms were clean and beautiful.
