Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomElegant beauty, rooms are very atmospheric in accordance with a boutique hotel, breakfast is exceptional (croffles are the best in the world :) Very cosy and good to stay for a family or for a couple. It is located in busy place in Jimbaran, however the place is very peaceful, calm and what is important - located near airport.

FranceBeautiful place in the heart of Jimbaran. Very close to the beach, we were offered a ride to the beach by hotel staff in a very vintage beautiful VW car, that was really appreciated. The hotel is a family heritage combining Balinese, Moroccan and French architecture. The design was original and shows a lot of attention given to every detail in every room. Not sure you can find another equivalent hotel in Bali. The property has 3 pools in total. Breakfast was fair with savory and sweet options. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Balquise Heritage and will definitely come back :)

This hotel is stunning. The room we had was large and the bathroom was so beautiful. The grounds were amazing and having a choose of 3 gorgeous pools was a luxury. It’s set back off a very busy road but there is no traffic sound to speak of. The manager (?) Jimmy was so welcoming and made our stay seamless 10/10

IndonesiaAbsolutely no thing. Everything is amazing, this hotel is a piece of heaven where love radiates in every corner. As we are leaving, we are planning to return. Wishing to make it a second home. Peaceful and beautiful.
Most beautiful hotel in Bali, I keep coming back over and over. Everything is absolutely tasteful, the food is excellent and the staff are lovely. Balquisse is a destination in itself and the place is hard to leave. Wishing everyone to get the chance to enjoy this experience.

Decorating has a very colonial feel that I love. Three pools to choose from. Very attentive service and a quiet laid back environment, which is great after a very long trip to get to Bali

United StatesWe enjoyed the food at the restaurant, including breakfast. Our server Nila (hopefully I got the name right), when she heard that we like the local breakfast delicacy called laklak offered to bring it for us the next morning. So sweet of her! We enjoyed the location as well, near the famous Jimbaran seafood restaurants at the beach. Much calmer location in Jimbaran than other areas, yet close to the airport.

AustraliaThe place was slightly away from the main shopping and restaurant areas. That's way it has such a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. If you want to go out, you have to catch a taxi.
I liked the interior decor of the room. As the property had a construction going, they upgraded our room free of charge to be away from the noise. The place had a tranquil atmosphere. I loved the breakfast as well! They had a great option of the breakfast, and it was so delicious.

United Arab EmiratesThere is a downside to such a unique design, which you would possibly feel - soundproofing is not at a level of modern 5* hotel standards with plastic windows. You might meet some insects but overall maintenance team manages them very well. Your rest may be disrupted by a random 8AM corporate event organized by the hotel owner or due to renovation of some rooms. Big thanks to Jimmy and the rest of the team for problem solving.
This is the most beautiful and well thought through hotel I have ever stayed (I travel a lot). I loved the hotel so much. Every room, every common area, every corner, every wall are very stylish and functional. 3 pools in different areas of the hotel for a total of 10 rooms: there is always a pool with no one (even during New Year) so we could enjoy privacy. Very high attention to details by owner: The owner spends a lot of time on the hotel and is very attentive to details. This has really made my stay very pleasant (although I’m am very difficult to satisfy). For example, in your room you’ll find a mosquito spray (for skin), wide brim hats, beach bag and other items for going out or sunbathing. Then, you get a ride to the beach on the cabrio SUV from Eat, Pray, Love movie. No, seriously, who runs this place? Why can’t other hotels be like this? Food is excellent (for both breakfast and dinner). Not 2 Michelin stars, but very delicious, much more than you could expect from a 5* hotel restaurant on average. My wife is extremely picky about the food and she initially planned to get food elsewhere but we ended up having a few dinners and everyday breakfast in the hotel. Overall, rooms, open areas, food, design elements, music, attention to details just made this hotel magically fulfilling. I can’t remember the other time I loved the hotel so much especially in the same price category. Azulik Tulum comes to my mind, but that another story and budget. I’ve just moved to another hotel with a big brand name but already miss Balquisse.

New ZealandI found it a bit difficult to get into and out of the pools and the water was very warm (due to being quite shallow I think). My personal preference in the room would be shutters rather than voluminous curtains which could be quite dark when drawn for privacy.
The breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. The gardens and public areas are gorgeous, and the decor is unique and sumptuous. the staff are very friendly and helpful.

SingaporeThe premise is absolutely gorgeous and fits for any type of group. Were were couples with parents and a baby and had delux, family room and a tree house. Every rooms were gorgeous and special. Staff are extremely helpful and kind, always there for us when we need anything. Breakfast with garden view or swimming pool view, afternoon tea, and dinner at hidden mangrove jungle, these were all beyond what we expected. They provide indonesian and pan Asian food mostly with some selection of western menu such as pasta, pide and steak. Spa place is as gorgeous as the rooms, I had great Balinese massage before departure. I have not had chance to use the yoga space but it looked super relaxing surrounded by green. Their airport transfer was smooth and affordable. I would come back to this place with heart beat. Thanks Jimmy, Rosa and everyone.See you again.
