Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

EstoniaThe only inconvenience is that the villa is located in the north and from there the road to the main Bali attractions takes about 3 hours one way.
Very private and nice place, the owner of the villa was very hospitable and helped us to plan our trips around Bali island. Also he organised nice present for my girlfriend on her birthday. There is a good stuff on villa who clean rooms and make breakfast (optional lunch and dinner for an additional fee) and one women from stuff makes great massage.

FranceBeautiful place with a swimming pool overlooking the sea. The owners of the villa, Made and his charming wife welcomed us with great care and attention. Made guided us on trips to the waterfall, temple, rice terraces, dauphins and Lovina beach. He was always concerned about our well-being. Made drove us from Ubud to Lovina and after from Lovina to Amed. He arranged everything. We spent three marvelous days there eating delicious home cooked food. Everything Made’s wife cooks is spectacular. Our hole family enjoyed a Balinese massage overlooking the sea. We wish all the best to this lovely family and thanking you for all the love you give.

The staff and owner create a wonderful family environment, the place has everything you need and an incredible view to relax the days away if that is what you are after. Delicious food is prepared by the staff and we had a very memorable last night dinner supplied by Made. Massage was excellent, the place was tidy and clean. The power went out one evening in the local area (as it does occasionally in Bali) and the owner went out of his way to get us to a local restaurant for dinner at no cost, which he didn't have to do but wanted us to have the best experience at his new villa.

AustraliaCan't walk to places but can get a scooter, driver or gojek.
This villa was so good we left it only once to visit the ocean during our 3 day stay, we did not want to leave. It is a newly built villa with absolutely stunning views. We all loved the infinity pool. Staff there were very good.. we had most of our meals cooked for us. The Indonesian dishes were to die for. There are 2 full size fridges, microwave, hot/cold filtered water dispenser etc. I cannot recommend this villa enough.
