Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceWas not prepared for the water to be salty: the shower water, the kitchen sink water, the pool water. However we had a clean water dispenser that Gede filled up again when empty and we used it even for teeth brushing and was very fine.
Location was just like in the pictures, I think we stayed in the second villa. It is a bit pastoral, with the view over the pool and facing the smaller sister island. The sunsets are amazing there, also the high and low tide, you can see a lot of small crabs walking by during the night before the high tide. The bed was a king size, more comfortable than I have expected, there is a gas kitchen hob, a small fridge that Gede had left for us some soda, water and Bintang beers :) The wifi there is very ok, we have been working for 3 days and even did video calls with no issues. If you want to rent a scooter, Gede can provide it. We've rented one for 3 days, very handy for the island, we even got to 3 Islands Bar on top of Nusa Cenida (should check this one, there's a pretty nice view and infinity pool there). The Villa is located on "the main" road, if one can say so, but even with all the scooters going up and down we have managed to sleep very well. There is both air con and ceiling fan, so heat is not an issue inside. In the middle of the day there's not so much shade for the pool, but not an issue in the morning or in the evening. Definitely not during the night :) There is a very good and cheap Sumatran restaurant, we definitely recommend: RMA. There's also the Italian one, but that's more expensive and who comes to Bali to eat Italian, right? Gede was very helpful with everything we needed and would love to go there again some time. We loved everything!

AustraliaIt was very hot while we were there and unfortunately there was nowhere shaded to sit outside. An umbrella would be really useful.
Great little villa with a lovely pool and beautiful water views. Located close to the yellow bridge, it's super handy for visiting Ceningan. Gede the villa owner was lovely. He helped us hire a scooter and also to find a local woman who did ear candling when my partners ear got blocked. The stairs straight from the villa to the shoreline are great. There's a good Italian restaurant very close by and if you say you're staying at Villa Gede they will bring your order to the villa.

AustraliaWe had no negatives, but worth adding that you might want a bike to ensure you see the rest of the island as the main beaches and streets are on the other side. That being said, there is a great restaurant next door and 2 convenience stores within 100m, and given the island is so small, nothing is more than 10 minutes away by bike.
The villa is great, extremely comfortable, the private pool is incredible, and there is a stunning view of the water and Nusa Ceningan. Gede is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay - even helping with scooter issues that had nothing to do with him! Will be visiting again.

AustraliaWish we could have stayed longer!!
Nestled in a remarkable location, this villa offers unparalleled convenience with central access to a variety of restaurants, direct beach access, and the added bonus of being within walking distance of the Yellow Bridge leading to Cennigan Island. The Villa itself is in pristine condition, featuring a cozy bed, a spacious and spotless bathroom, and a well-maintained kitchen equipped with cooking facilities. The outdoor deck and pool area are nothing short of spectacular, providing an ideal setting for enjoying both sunrise and sunset drinks. The pool is maintained at the perfect temperature for your comfort and enjoyment. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service provided by our host. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was not only comfortable but also memorable. From arranging bike rentals to stocking the fridge with cold Bintangs upon our arrival, their thoughtfulness was outstanding. From the moment we booked until the day we departed, the communication was exemplary. Having visited Lemgongan Island for many years, we can confidently say that this accommodation offers the best value for money and quality we've ever experienced. We're eagerly looking forward to our stay here again next year!

AustraliaLeaving. Leaving is always hard <3
This is our second stay at Villa Gede, it was just as awesome as we remembered! We love the view, the pool, the super comfy bed, and the location with easy access to Alponte next door and the Yellow Bridge. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is recommended to get around by scooter if staying on this side of the island. Both times we easily organised a scooter through Gede who thoughtfully keeps 2 helmets on hand for guests. This villa will quickly feel like your private home away from home if you choose to come and stay (which you should). We look forward to seeing Villa no 2 when it's complete Gede! Places close by that we love: Alponte: for their pool, authentic Italian food, and happy hour cocktails (photo included) Seabreeze Ceningan: for breakfast (Nasi Campur), sunset drinks, and the cutest puppies that are ready for pats SUKU Beach Club: the best pool on either island with a swim-up bar and incredible views across to Mahana's Point - do not miss sunset here. You will make pool friends. Mahana's Point: Sunset drinks at the edge of a cliff watching surfers catch incredible waves Dungki Bendega Resto: a local warung hidden gem. While they serve burgers and Western fare the Indonesian menu is where it is at. Best pork ribs going around and don't skip on ordering the samosas if they haven't already run out. A bit further out: Song Lambung Beach: Follow the signs to Lembongan Cliff Villas otherwise you'll miss this hidden gem (the road signs sometimes lead you astray). Here you'll find a place to hire SUPS, chill at the Beach Cafe at Lago, or eat some Indonesian fare at Nila's Warung. Helpful tip: Rocky Fast Cruises now has a dedicated dropoff point not far from Villa Gede, so this is a much easier transit to the Villa rather than the usual (but admittedly beautiful) beach drop-off at Jungutbatu.

Great little apartment - it was amazing to see the tide come in and go out across the seaweed fields from the pool / deck! We were even able to be dropped off by boat after a snorkelling trip right at our back deck as it was high tide! There is a great Italian restaurant next door and an easy walk to other bars / restaurants up the road or across the bridge in Cenigan.
