Away from the hustle and bustle of commercialised parts of Sanur Villa Shantitata Bungalows is a place to relax and inhale the energy of nature. A large, beautiful pool at the compound's centre is surrounded by tropical greenery with bungalows and little secluded dining and resting areas. There is a fish pond and two rabbits and birds busily making nests and chirping in the trees. From our porch, we see kids, some frolicking in the pool, others swinging on a little swing next to it while adults keep an eye on them, sitting on a sizeable swinging couch. Paradise for travellers of all ages! We, Australian seniors, are staying for two weeks.

The host, Mario, has been super accommodating, the pool and the garden are a little oasis, safe, secure and hidden away from the busy streets of Sanur. A real gem It is only 5 minutes by foot from a bunch of little warung, bars and restaurants and supermarkets, convenient for the airport and a quick taxi to the beach. Had a great stay..thanks again!

We really liked the hospitality from the owner, Mario! We had some nice talks next to the beautiful swimming pool with other guests as well. The place is very clean and the garden is so lush and green! We really really recommend this place!

We like everything

This place is just love ❤️ Our seventh hotel in Bali, everything is simply divine. A place where you want to dream. Wherever you look, there’s meaning in every detail, and every detail is beautiful. A huge pool with mirrored accents, shells at the bottom. Swings, rabbits on the territory, a turtle, very beautiful pigeons, fish. The bungalow has a lot of space, the bed is very comfortable. The host made breakfast for us and it was really good. He also helped with organizing surf lessons for my son. There are free bikes that are very useful. The beach is a 8 minutes drive. The massage was also really good. There is a kitchen and barbecue. Such a beautiful place, I want to come back again. 🙏 ❤️

The location is nice. Warung Pixel (almost around the corner) has delicious food and cheap prices. Mario is very helpful and welcoming. The pool is clean. The territory is beautiful. The lady, Wayan, who does massage in the villa is gorgeous! Do try her massage.

The equipment in the kitchen

We had an incredible stay at the Shantitara villa in Bali! The pool is absolutely stunning, and the presence of rabbits and doves on the property adds a charming touch. The barbecue facility was a delightful addition, allowing us to enjoy delicious meals. Moreover, the owner's kindness made our experience truly memorable. Highly recommend this villa for a relaxing getaway!

Everything was perfect.

This is a perfect place for a family with a wonderful swimming pool. There are two rabbits in the hotel's area, my son played with them. I ordered a massage, I advise you to try it.

If I have to nitpick I’d say the smaller bungalow would be even more perfect with a mosquito net at the back of the bed. Luckily we didn’t see or hear any mozzies. The larger bungalow has a 360 surround mosquito net so in that bungalow this is a non-issue.

Our friendly host has taken a beautiful piece of paradise and named it Shantitara. The centrepiece of Shantitara is the beautifully constructed pool which is surrounded by tastefully decorated bungalows. The entire estate is permeated by peace, well-being and tranquillity.

Not a big issue for us, but: - family bungalow is right next to the common kitchen (so you hear the first until last person walking in and prepping their stuff - no mosquito nets - clean enough, but could be cleaner

We crashed here for 2 nights after a 30-hour trip with our two kids, to „get our feet on the ground“. Villa Shantitara is located in a nice, authentic neighborhood of Sanur. Local life around is buzzling. Tourists are elsewhere. We enjoyed that a lot. Mario is a treasure of experience and will help you with everything, from car to trips to massages. Just ask. He personally makes your breakfast, which is really sweet (pancakes, eggs, home-made bread…). The bungalows are set in a lush garden. Nice little pool and some animals around, which our kids loved. It’s not luxurious, but very lovely and perfect for a short stay.

We enjoyed the family atmosphere of the place, the nice garden and its "inhabitants". Our daughter had a great time chasing the rabbit and swimming in the pool! The place is quiet, and that's what we wanted, but also very close to a supermarket and just 10 minutes away from the beach by car. Mario helped us out with any questions or requests we had. - we were sad that we booked just two nights!

We booked one of the villas at Shantitara Bungalows for the last two days of our Bali vacation. We arrived by car and thanks to Mario's (the owner) instructions, we took the correct turns despite the extremely narrow "gangs". There are I think the total of 3 rental villas in the compound, all with a shared central pool - which is beautifully designed and perfect for children. Mario also has his private mini zoo there :), which includes doves, rabbits, fish and a tortoise. We were provided fresh water all the time, it was always available in the central kitchen in the shared fridge. Mario also gave us some tips what to visit in the area, where to eat and shop. The villa was huge, with comfortable beds, AC and a nice and romantic outdoor shower with plants all over. Adjacent there was a small private terrace with a fish pond, where we could enjoy our meals or just a cup of coffee. To sum up: Shantitara Bungalows are totally recommended!

Not much. It was a little out of the way but everyone we asked to come found it ok. Good supermarket, bakery and ATM in walking distance but no sidewalks and lots of pot holes. But minor.

The friendly laid back vibe. Mario was always helpful but not intrusive. The garden and pool are quirky and we loved the private little outdoor patio. We met some lovely people who helped us with our holiday. Loved the cable tv in our room. Very chilled.

Villa shantitara is a complex of small, well-maintained and cosy bungalows. Every corner is decorated with small details. But the real highlight for me was the swimming pool, wonderful for a cool dip in the morning or sunbathing in the afternoon. The staff are friendly and always available.
