Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAt the time of our stay the main pool (which was closed) and villa next door was being renovated which caused a bit of noise and dust but didn’t worry us too much because we had our own pool. The renovations of the pool and villa are due to be completed in another two weeks. To note, the villas are a bit remote from the Sanur centre so Visakha supply a shuttle service that goes from the villas to the city centre of Sanur but we hired some e-bikes to get us get around.
Visakha is traditional style accommodation, where we had a wonderful corner comfortable large villa with a beautiful garden and our own pool. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was also great.

AustraliaFriendly team with great service, nice pool in each villa. Main pool was closed, under renovation, will be great when it reopens. An easy ride or taxi into the heart of Sanur, love the cycleway all the way along the beachfront.

AustraliaAircon in our room was not sufficient - not sure if the unit wasn’t big enough or it just wasn’t working well. Nothing else to mention at all - it’s a gorgeous property at their very reasonable prices.
We stayed in the villa with a private pool, it was very lovely. Room made up every day. Staff friendly, helpful and beautiful. Room service was great, food lovely, breakfast was great (1 x vegan and 1 x not vegan)

AustraliaThe Kesara Villa we stayed in was just next door to the main restaurant kitchen and guest toilets so we did experience some minor disturbances from time to time. The main bedroom has a "Joglo" styled wooden roof and struggled to get cool even with the air conditioner on the coolest settings (we didn't realize this when we booked). Overall the villa also needs a facelift and renovations to the walls and pool side. The daily breakfast is very basic and not much choices available for the rate we paid and compared to other similar villas we've stayed in Sanur! The staff are nice but not overly friendly and we rarely saw them during our stay except at check-in and check-out. The location of the villa is on a quiet side street near the creek so travelling to the main Sanur shops and restaurants will require a taxi or bikes! Lastly, the villa has a restaurant but we found the menu to be very basic and lacked local Indonesian food variety.
We liked the overall ambience and tranquil location! Our 2BR villa was spacious and comfortable! The private pool was nice and warm all the time.

AustraliaIt’s a little far out of town but in fairness excellent shuttle service available and a $3 taxi ride home. The place is looking a little tired and in need of a refresh. The tiling needs a good industrial clean and all the woodwork is in need of a refresher. The breakfast though adequate was lacking in inspiration for a supposedly 4 star. We only ate one evening and that was enough, poor quality and expensive. We noted no other guest ate at the property.
Typical Balinese old style charm.

United KingdomWe had a one bed pool villa. The room was a bit tired as was the pool, in fact I didn’t bother using it at all as a bit cloudy and didn’t fill me with confidence. I asked if it was possible to move villas as the one next door looked a lot nicer and had obviously been recently renovated. I was met with a smile but no solution. Annoying as the place next door stayed empty the whole stay. Unfortunately I would advise you look elsewhere as there are tons of nicer places close by for the same money.
Cheap and cheerful. Nice staff and basic set up. Check in was easy and staff arranged a bike that arrived literally minutes later.

United KingdomThe location is awful, thankfully they have a shuttle service that would partly compensate. The facilities are not 4* and the pictures are a bit misleading. You may not get good water pressure or hot water, etc. They have not invested in renovating the place for a while. You would get a big, clean and comfortable room though.
The people are amazing, they are always running the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. They have a car driver service that is excellent, Mully would take you anywhere on the island and explain you anything, he is very knowledgeable and willing to explain.

VietnamMore shade in the outdoor living area would have been helpful. The loungers were in the sun, with no movement to shade. However, there was an umbrella with a round seated table.
Breakfast area was lovely in the garden and offered good variety. The loungers and outdoor living area were very comfortable. The gardens were immaculate and well kept, with a lovely central pool. Staff was friendly. Spa service available and comfortable spa area. Bathroom area was very big, and the bedroom was large, with a super large bed. A quiet area and offers shuttles into the town/beach.
