Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Kingdom1/10 for the room. damp and mould everywhere, ants and insects everywhere. the toilet was heavily heavily stained. the bed was comfy which was the only plus. however there was always ants crawling across it. it was cheap however we have stayed in other properties around the area for the same price and they were much cleaner. Maybe it was just our room that was terrible however we wouldn’t come back.
7/10 for location and pool area. nice pool and close to a few bars/restaurants. also a quick walk to the monkey sanctuary

our stay lasted 3 days, thanks to the room change we requested the first day we arrived. They were very kind to accept it, the staff very friendly and very hard-working too. affordable price for everyone. A basic breakfast but with love. there was a plus that we decided to go on a long walk and return the next day and they kept our things while we made that trip

SwedenThe towels was sandy and small pieces fell apart when you used it. We didn’t like the toilet and there wasn’t any soap, not at the sink or in the shower. It was okey, good if you’re travelling with a budget. But if we’re coming back to Ubud we’re not coming back here.
The location was good, so was the pool. The AC was working and the wifi was good. Nice view from the third floor!

South AfricaService was poor and staff struggled with English. The pictures on Booking.com do not reveal the Truth. There no blanket on the bed. Only after explaining - did we receive one. Room was not serviced at all - Not even the emptying of the rubbish bin. Struggled with Booking.com to change the dates.

No toilet paper or toiletries not even small soap. Mould around toilet. Floor constantly wet due to A/C condensation above bathroom door. Foam bed uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow provided per person and were flimsy. Cushions on bed stained and dirty. Couldn't close bathroom door properly. No where to hang towels in bathroom whilst showering or next to basin Should have been advertised as a back packers lodge

New ZealandBe aware that with close proximity to the monkey forest, comes frequent visits early morning & sometimes afternoons by noisy, mischievous monkeys. Obviously at 4am this will wake you up. Staff were vigilant in trying to protect the property. Centre window did not have a curtain so there was rather a lot of light coming in during the night.
Location was close to centre of Ubud. Pool was large, cool and refreshing. Good value for money. Breakfast option was good
