Mosquitoes in the room. We bought our own plug-in insect repellent so was not an issue for us. No toiletries provided by homestay but we had our own.

We liked the air conditioning.. it cooled the room quickly. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Lovely thick towels provided. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Host lady friendly. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Vinandaka homestay is tucked away from Main Street of sanur. Nice and quiet. A 1 minute walk to plenty of cafes and shops.

The room was a little bit too small, but it was okay for just one day.

The staff was friendly and helped us with any question. The location is central in Sanur so we could go anywhere by foot. The room was well equipped, we even had a fridge.

Good value for money. Comfortable bed and clean towels and small but nice shower room. Rooms probably more suited for a single traveler as they are quite small, but ok for a couple for a short stay.

Great location super close to the beach. The hosts were extremely friendly and so happy to help! The room was comfortable and came with a refrigerator which was very handy for storing snacks and leftovers.

The room was a bit small and we had some noise in the morning from the neighbors. However the host did mention that there was some construction at the house, so it was no problem.

Good value for money, nice shower and close to the beach/town centre. It is next to some really nice restaurants

So location - on google maps it looked like you used to be on the beach in about 5 minutes walk. However opposite is a building site which seems to have blocked the path (no issues with noise). But that means it’s now at least 25 mins walk to the beach as all the private fancy resorts have blocked the cuts to the beach (very classic bali). That said so many restaurants nearby and small supermarkets. Just annoying for the beach. And I expect the works to take years from now. But hey ho get your daily steps in! The bathroom does smell a little yes - but close the bathroom door to keep your bedroom smelling nice and once you have entered the bathroom your nose will get used to it in about 5 seconds. It’s also clean. Comments I’ve seen about the room being small. And recommendations to the owners. Get rid of the fridge that everyone says is either not cold enough or noisy and put a communal one somewhere. There’s no need for a wardrobe in the room. Anyone needing a wardrobe will be in a hotel not a homestay. Change the wardrobe for a bench so people can put their luggage on that and the room will feel so much bigger :)

Rooms were nice. Outside the room was nice. Bathroom was good with a powerful and hot shower. Free filtered water. Location should have been excellent.. see below. Aircon is efficient Lights are actually bright and plug sockets have good power

The aircon was working too well and it was far too cold. I set the temp at 23 (the warmest setting in the Cool function) but it was too cold - then it turned off itself but the room got hot so quickly and it turned back on powerful jet to start off. Every time it happened it made a noise and it woke me up in the first one hour or so (then I finally fell asleep) A small tv in the room didn’t work. A water fill station is there but hot water came out. I couldn’t drink it.

Hot shower! Good water pressure! And a (noisy) fridge is in the room - Right next to the pillow. Still handy to have it. The owners are nice. Very limited English but they are kind! The room is very small but I liked the little courtyard. Very Balinese style.

The room is kinda small & the fridge is not cold but no big deal as the pros trumps the cons.

The location is fantastic, close to everything and surprisingly very quiet even though we are located just by the busy roadside. Love the food that is attached to the home stay. For the price that one pays here it is definitely value for money; as the air conditioner works well, hot shower with good water pressure and good wifi.

TV was only local channels so of no use to someone who doesn't understand Indonesian and a kettle and cups as standard in the room would have been nice but they did supply us with a kettle when we asked.

The staff were helpful and very friendly, the entire area was kept clean. My husband (I am the wife not Ross writing this) got the flu at a previous destination and the staff were very helpful in supplying us with a kettle so we could make him tea. The fridge in the room was very good and the area was very quiet being slightly off the street.

The host turned on hall lighting at night (I suspect for security), but it shined into the room, so I just turned the lights off after 11 p.m. so I could sleep.

Host family is extremely warm and welcoming. The A/C in my room was excellent, plus plenty of hot water in the shower. Nice big refrigerator for keeping water and food cold. The family has a small warung attached to the front of their property and the meals I had there were among the best I've eaten in Bali, for local prices. You know it's good when the place always has locals eating there! The place feels very safe and I left my bags with host for an entire day after checking out, so that I could go off for the day.

Considering the price there's really not much to say.

The location was great! Super close to the beach and lots of cafe's, shops and restaurants nearby. The couple that runs the place are so friendly and kind. They made my stay very easy. The room was small but clean and I felt safe during my entire stay. This place is great if you are looking for an affordable quiet place. I understand why people come back, too.
