Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThese are only minor issues - breakfast is basic at the moment possibly because the kitchen is being renovated. The pool is lovely but small if you want to go for a proper swim. There are so many other things to do it was not an issue.
The property is very centrally located, but also very quiet. Its back off a busy road but so quiet. The staff are all lovely. The rooms are spacious. It is excellent value for money for Australians who would expect to pay a lot more for this type of property.

CanadaThe monkeys. It's pretty close to the monkey forest and there were a couple mornings where we woke up to a monkey stampede over our villa. Bring ear plugs for that and you're fine :)
Really friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Rooms were a good size and clean. Ours was at the very back looking over a rice field which was nice (room 827). Close to the centre of Ubud but still quite quiet. Nice little pool.

AustraliaThe faucet broke during our stay but the managers offered us another room and extra water. Very accomodating and sweet! I highly recommend them as the staff are fantastic!
Perfect location if you want to be in the heart of Ubud city centre. The staff are soo lovely and accomodating. The room could have been cleaner.

The staff were very helpful and the location was excellent - especially set back from the road so it was peaceful. The monkeys coming through the property during out morning coffee was terrific.

NetherlandsThere was no toilet brush in the toilet room. I was embarrassed not being able to clean my own sh.t myself. Someone of the cleaning staff dit it for me on the first day. Sad... The second day I had to look for a toilet brush through Ubud, instead of spending my time more nicely. It had spoiled my stay. So that's why I haven't prolonged my stay and have booked another hotel for the rest of the days in Ubud. Also: why to leave construction work garbage just right in front of the entrance to the beautiful garden? It is 5-10 minutes work to put it away. Yet - it was there all the time.
Beautiful garden, real jungle paradise. It was a pleasure just sitting at the table there. Very nice, authentic Balinese looking room. Nice looking little pool. I didn't use it though. Walking distance to the Monkey Forrest. Many shops and restaurants on the street.

United Arab EmiratesWe stayed for 4 nights. We had 2 rooms - Deluxe and Super deluxe (free upgrade yayy). Both great with comfy beds, clean showers, kettle and fridge, small terrace with sitting area. Great pool! Really nice to chill at the time when the day is at its hottest. Amazing lady at the reception - very professional, helpful and friendly! The rest of the staff as well - always smiling and there to help when u need. 8 minutes to the Monkey Forest, right in the center of Ubud, yet quite.

United KingdomWe’re family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids and we’re offered extra very narrow bed, so ended up always sleeping with one child, so not ideal. Also the charge for extra bed and extra breakfast I believe worked out more than getting an extra room. During our stay hotel breakfast area was relocated to the reception due to renovation work. However, there was no noise as the building area was in the front, away from the villas.
Great communication. Excellent location, walkable to the Monkey Forrest and town center. Beutiful flora. Our kids enjoyed the pool. Hotel arranged for us a very good, reliable tmdriver for the airport transfer and a different one for trips.

SingaporeThe hotel had just started its renovations, so it was a shock to arrive and see what looked like a bomb/demolition site. To be fair, the rooms are set back from the part of hotel being renovated, so there was no major noise disturbance, but still I think the management should have warned guests first.

AustraliaThe bed was a bit too hard for our liking. The smokers should be as far away from non-smokers as possible!
Breakfast was basic and fine for the cost. It’s a lovely little gem, hidden away in the middle of Monkey Forest Road, close to everything. The lobby has always been uninviting but the renovations have commenced so this will upgrade the property immensely.
