Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe shower didn’t feel very clean, particularly the floor tiles and there were ants. The front door had quite a gap so bugs could get in and there were no mosquito nets.
Pretty central location and the room was spacious. The pool area was nice

SingaporeBeen furthest out away from the main house of the property, the WiFi reception is poor and intermittent. Many steps to the property / room so be aware if you bring big luggage.
The location is fantastic in town, close enough to walk everywhere. Plenty of eateries on the same street. The homestay is within a compound that houses other homestays/families thus just walk thru to the back and will see the signage. I stayed in a small house near the pool. It's was quaint and quiet. When I ran out of hot water, the staff quickly checked and rectified by topping up gas for the boiler.

United KingdomSome of the staff don’t have amazing English so it can be hard to ask questions at times but honestly that is such a minor issue.
Beautiful location, so tranquil but really central, can’t recommend enough. The family that run it are so lovely and kind. The pool is so clean and the perfect temp, they clean the rooms every day if you want… if I’m ever in ubud again there’s nowhere else I would stay.

FinlandThe room was not very clean, it smelled mold and we only had one blanket with no duvet cover...the ac and fridge were noisy. I also felt really sorry for the poor bird that's trapped in the small cage.
Nice and quiet location close to the city centre! nice pool, friendly staff & good breakfast!

ColombiaCleaning should improve, not superficially, it should be deep, the shower, toilet, and sink are stained and look unpleasant.
Yuliati has a privileged location, you can walk to Ubud Art Market and other places of interest, the pool is also just like the photographs, very nice. The best thing about this property is without a doubt the service, hospitality and kindness of Putuadi, he is a wonderful person always willing to help. Putu thank you very much for your hospitality.

AustraliaOur room smelt a little damp and we could hear the noise from the neighbours, but that’s was not a big issue. We would stay here again, for sure!
Amazing location, tucked away off a busy road down a quiet alley of local homes. The pool and garden are paradise with hardly anyone around. We had it to ourselves for most of the day. Yuliati House is fantastic value for money, really comfortable and peaceful. Not fancy but that’s the way we like it!

United KingdomNow the bad bits. No shade around the pool so 5-6hrs of the day (even in early Nov) is crazy hot and almost unbearable as no sun canopies. Coffee is for cafetière and is horrible, unsure they're aware! Got rash from duvet cover without sheet within 20mins and for next 5 nights, had to take antihistamines to alleviate rash. I did mention this to staff as it's been highlighted here before. Just a sheet would suffice. AC is OK but noisy and needs servicing. This is a family owned and run complex so expect kids at 7am & noise in kitchen below superior rooms at same time (I'm a light sleeper). No wardrobes or storage so lived out of bag for 5 days! Kettle takes 30mins+ to boil, no joke.
Superior room had great views (only 3 rooms) with large balcony (easily fit 2 yoga mats ;) ) . Breakfast was lovely (coffee horrible), great power in the hot shower. Fridge with little freezer was great. Great location and so so quiet compared to the rest of commercial Bali. Staff were lovely. Wifi very good, even with VPN for working & steaming. Endless pool is filtered & reasonable large. Garden area & original Balinese buildings are lovely. I would recommend & return.

United KingdomNo windows in the room - I like to wake up to natural sun light so this messed with my body clock The house bird needs a bigger cage, it can't even spread its wings in the one it's in and it's clearly very bored I felt really sorry for the bird No shade by the pool means you can't really chill out there No mosquito net around the bed but lots of mosquitoes had bites on my face a couple of times
Pool was big and clean Staff were really friendly and kind Breakfast was great and set us up for the day nicely Well priced

GermanyLovely hotel in Ubud with very nice and accomodating staff with the best banana pancakes of Bali. We had a Bungalow right at the pool, perfect for refreshment after a hot day in the busy city. Hotel looks exactly like in the pictures, even better. Very clean and well equipped. They also provide an airport pick up service. Overall best hotel that we stayed in for our trip in Bali.

LatviaJust some minor things. No place to hang your clothes (only some shelves where all clothes have to be kept folded. Could not be an issue if you stay for few nights but we stayed there for 8 nights). Ants in the room. Problem with water drain in the shower, so at the end of the shower you stand in a big puddle. Curtains should be changed, there are cracks in the walls. There was no duvet cover for the blanket. Breakfast are served from 8-11 and no possibility to have early breakfast, so if you have to leave early for the tour (which you most likely will most of the days because of the trafic) - no breakfast for you.
Great location, near to many restaurants, shops, also the Royal Palace and other activities, yet - very quiet and peaceful. Great view from the room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Delicious banana pancakes.
